Caller: seems to be Telstra Telstra? who knows? I've blocked this number and it keeps coming through...so I'm suspicious. Also, they are a fan of calling repeatedly over a very short period of time which is a tactic Scammers use to make you think the call is urgent...soooooooo still not answering it.

For those saying this isn't a scam & is in fact a call from Telstra, i call bullsh#t. I rang Telstra's 132200 number yesterday to change my parents internet provider to Telstra. This phone number (03) 8903 9325 rang my mobile 3 times repeatedly - (the same mobile that i had rung & was talking to the Telstra Representative on) 15 minutes into my phone call with Telstra. Why would Telstra be ringing my mobile when I'm already on a call with a Telstra representative, that i made to Telstra myself?!

Caller: Telstra Telatra calling back as we hadn't resolved issue yesterday. Rang back at incorrect time, an hour earlier than agreed- despite verifying multiple times when the call would occur. Was unable to answer as I was working.

I know people say this is not a scam and it is Telstra, but Telstra never call me direct, they always text message or contact me through the app first. When I finally did answer the repeated calls, the caller was dodgy, had a very strong accent and lots of child like screaming in the background. I did have an issue that Telstra had been investigating but that had been sorted some time beforehand and I had confirmation via app and texts. Strange that they were supposedly calling about a very old issue that was no longer relevant. Too many Dodge Pots now in Australia using legit customer info for their mates scams.

If it is a legitimate Telstra call, they tried twice in a minute to interrupt a call I was on, only to send an email moments later. If not, they are persistent scammers. Either way, blocked.

This is a genuine Telstra number. If you have placed a request with Telstra to move your services you will get a call from this number. I don't know if calls from other areas of Telstra use this number. However, still be careful as scammers are good at putting real numbers into their scam calls.

Two missed calls this morning. As others have said, it’s a scam. The people claiming otherwise are just trying to make their scam look legitimate. If you phone Telstra, they confirm.

Unknown number that appears to be from Telstra according to previous complaints left. I did have an issue with Boost yesterday which is a part of the Telstra network, but it was resolved this morning. So, I have now blocked this number since I don't need it for anything anymore.

Caller: Telstra This is a legitimate Telstra number, I work for Telstra and just did a Test call to myself which displayed this number. Telstra has hundreds of IP numbers that are randomly generated when we call out this is one of them. Repeat, I can confirm this number is legitimate. Most agents don’t know about the numbers as most agents do not have the systems to check only teams in Business/Enterprise can confirm this number is Telstra’s. If you receive a call from this number please ask for a reference case number, ask the agent to place their name in that case if you are still unsure and then Call 132200 to confirm.

Caller: Telstra This is definitely NOT A SCAM CALLER. I was speaking to Telstra yesterday about my account from transferring from the NBN to a moden. They rang me today (as I did not have time yesterday to listen to the the 15 minute spiel about terms and conditions) SO PEOPLE STOP SAYING THIS IS A SCAM.

Caller: Telstra This was a call from Telstra complaints. It was legit as I have an active complaint. However, the call sounded dodgy as there was a lot of background noise and the caller had a strong accent. With the references here to legit calls vs scam calls, there could be some calls with spoofed numbers (so appearing to use a legit Telstra number) and some are actually Telstra.
