Caller: Apparently ANZ Financial Service

i got a call from this number on a Thursday night at 6.24pm and they left a message saying they were from ANZ Super Fund and they wanted to talk to me about a contribution and could I call back on 131287 and the call is important. My contributions are direct debited on a Friday so I called the 03 number and it advised that it was no longer in service and I then called the 131287 number and it was ANZ Super but their hours were 8am to 6.30pm and to call back between those hours. Not sure whether it is legit or not. I have a "Should I answer" app and it gave the number a negative rating and said it was from a Financial Service.

It’s ANZ. I enquired about a loan online. Got a call from this # that I missed. A text came through immediate advising me to call ANZ.

The scammer called my mobile phone at 6pm on a friday night. Speaking broken English in an indian accent it was difficult to understand them. They claimed to be from “ANZ Home Loans” and asked me to verify my access code. I told them I was not an ANZ customer and that I would be reporting the call to the police. I later noticed a voicemail on my landline at 5.45pm on the same day also claiming to be from ANZ. Total scam.

Caller: Manager

I disconnected the call as it was made at 9.30 at night from someone saying it was a courtesy call from a manager at the ANZ.
Immediately contacted the bank and it turned out that the call was genuine------and resolved the matter of a lost wallet !

They called me stating they are from ANZ. Indian lady was speaking very softly I could barely hear her she gave me a number to call back and all she said was 1800 and went silent. Then said thank you. A load of mixed reviews about this number. So I’m not sure

Received this call and left a message saying from ANZ and to call back although I thought this was unusual as outside of their call centre hours. Received a text from anz, which came from the same as all previous texts from anz asking for additional documentation. Unsure whether this is a scam or not?

Got a call from this number asking for my name, then my security number. When I refused to give my password, and then I asked her that I will call her back from a known anz number, she hung up. Also Indian accent. These scumbags are getting more sophisticated, which is scary

I received a call this afternoon from a lady stating she was from ANZ and asked for my security code and when I refused to provide she mentioned I would receive a text. I called up ANZ to report this and they suggested it could phishing.

This is definitely ANZ, I only received the phone call after applying for a credit card.
I was at work so didn't answer but they left me a voice mail and the phone number to call back.

Call today about a loan application, caller wanting my details to confirm who he was speaking to - I refused to give them - it is Saturday afternoon and I said that loan department is only open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday here in Australia- caller said he is India so works over weekend. He then said he would send a text to my mobile phone - from ANZ which he did, but some details were not quite right. Called ANZ and they said they DEFINITELY DO NOT HAVE OFFICE IN INDIA MANAGING LOANS.......THEY ARE A SCAM!!

I was called by this number today to confirm I wanted to roll over my ANZ Smart Choice superfund to another company. To do this, I was asked for my name, address and date of birth, and also asked to provide my email address. I got nervous I so willingly gave over my details, but they knew the name of the superfund I was rolling into, which is why i trusted the caller at first.

After reading above comments and attempting to return the call and hearing a message saying “this is no longer an ANZ number”, I became concerned I was scammed.

I called ANZ Smart Choice (131 287) and they were able to confirm that it was definitely a LEGITIMATE call from their admin team, as the receipt number I was given during the call was logged in my records. *phew*
