I have had numerous missed calls from this number and decided to Google to see who ot is. All they have done is make me more determined not to use them.

Same story .. left AGL because they wouldn't offer me the same deal offered by origin.. and because i was a annoyed they automatically put me on a 2 year contract after I already completed the agreed 2 year contract ... so it's costing me $75 to leave them, but i don't want to be with a company that treats their customers like that .. ... so glad i have caller id .. not going to answer these calls ...

Changed providers and they've sent someone round to the door twice and now constantly ringing. They've got some service which keeps dialling your number. Soooooo annoying. When will it stop? They are the worst company and they're ruining our farming land with their greed for coal seam gas. And what about that ghastly song they have on their ads and when you ring in. GO AWAY AGL

Consecutive calls from land-line numbers all with the following 6 digits in the number (please note the last two digits change depending who from the call centre is calling)
8672 65..
8672 6592
8672 6590
Initially I missed a couple of calls from one of the numbers but noticed no messages had been left with my voicemail so it made me suspicious because most callers would leave a message from their first attempt however these numbers were calling me continuously throughout the day over a couple of weeks without one single message being left. I never answered a call so can only go by what others have noted here that it is AGL... and it makes sense because I have recently switched electricity providers.

Same here, they keep ringing me on both mobile and home phones. I'm glad I have caller id too. I have blocked them on my iphone but it seems they are allowed to ring the home number despite us being on the "do not call" register!! Very frustrating!

just left agl , they ring 40 times over the last 3 days , sometimes also from an unknown number

how can i stop them from calling? can i block the number/complain?

Is (08) 8672 6538 AGL? I recently started things in motion to change electricity provider from AGL to ALINTA (they were going to beat AGL by 15%), then AGL called me and said they can sweeten it by another 2% (total of 17% better than current and give me a $70 voucher for the energy shop). I cancelled the swap over and stayed with AGL on a 2 year contract. If (03) 8672 6538 is AGL why do they keep calling me? Isn't it more likely to be Alinta, trying to get me back?

As a phone user I have the right to not answer calls from numbers I don't know. If it was super important they would leave a message. I receive at least 2 calls a day sometimes it only rings twice.

I have received 14 calls in 4 days from this number and a blocked number that I answered and it was AGL basically wanting to know why I changed back to Origin. I receive at least 2 calls before 9am everyday and it continues until around 6:45pm. I am not happy at all. I work long hours and the last thing I need is for them harassing me because I got sick of their bad ethics as a company. How do we stop the harassing calls??

Have recently switched from agl and am continually receiving about 3 or 4 calls a day from this number after first couple of calls mot answered they sent me a text to call them. When i ignored this they started calling every day. Never leave a message though. I will continue to ignore calls -why dont they get the message?? I dont want to talk to you.

This is harassment, like stalking. I am so annoyed because I have 2 young children, one infant who is unwell and my phone keeps ringing all day, while I am trying to tend my children and other important commitments, literally I want to screeeam at the bastards. This is not how you win over customers that for sure.

This number is from AGL Call Centre. I changed Energy providers as well and will never use AGL again after being pestered by this number. Appalling business conduct by AGL. If you are still getting calls log your number with the ACMA Do Not Call Register. You can also log a Consumer Complaint form online with the ACMA as well.
