Rang me at 8pm was having the best sleep.... didn't pick up never do with numbers I don't know ...My msg bank says don't leave a msg just text me so I know who it is because I don't like msg bank ...so thy left a msg I listend and no msg looked it up here and as I can see now I know who it is thanks ppl back to bed

I keep having messages left from this number (regular missed calls). From an Iris at Energy Australia claiming that "we can see energy is being used at your address but your account hasn't been set up" and to please call their customer service number 1300 135 863) to finalise our account> We are not with Energy Australia and haven't been for over 10 years. As far as I'm concerned this is a scam to get people to change retail energy provider without realising it. I phoned Energy Australia to stop these calls and they apologised and asked me to disregard; when I phoned back after more voice messages they claimed I wasn't in their system and that maybe it was someone else(?). I'm pretty annoyed, to say the least.

this is the third call from "energy australia". I have said I don't want to talk about my a/c but they keep phoning saying it is just a courtesy call to discuss my a/c. then started asking for personal details. I said they called me not the other way and if they don't know who they are calling they have a problem. When I asked if they are phoning to offer a better deal she didn't understand what I meant. I asked for them not to phone again - we will see if they do.

They called me from (03) 8644 3003 and left a voice mail ...asked me to call them on 1800 612 946 as it was to do with my energy plan contract request change . as i was still half asleep, i called them . they wanted my name , date of birth and address ... i hung up on them as i realised it was a scam

Never left a message. Rang back and it was Energy Australia. Queried them on live chat and their responces were my number isnt on their system.

Asked why i needed to fill in a feedback form and i shouldnt have to for unauthorised use and obtaining my number. from an unknown souse. The reply was
Just in case you receive a call again and they inform you that they are with us.
I understand where you're coming from, I am uncertain if the number is from us but for us to further investigate the inquiry, we would also need your cooperation.
When mentioning reporting it.
I do apologise if the form doesn't seem to be convenient to you, is there anything else?
This is what happens when caught out. The number is Energy Australia. Mine isnt on the system. They arn't 100% sure the number is EA .

I have had the same thing happen to me! someone claiming to be called Iris from Energy Australia saying that I haven't been charged for gas used. They want to back charge for 9 months and threaten to cut of my power supply if I don't pay. This is a scam as this time frame only applies to electricity and secondly they wouldn't cut of your power they would go through the hardship program. they never gave me a total amount payable and unable to provide any evidence or communicate in writing.
