This number is actually the Work Experience program for Aegis Aspire. So those calling you are not very experienced and would do great with some constructive feedback.

I got a call from them about verifying concession ID's and asked me to email them and i thought it was a security risk.
Luckily it was mentioned that it was a Work experience program and i knew the manager of that division so was able to speak to him to confirm its legitimacy.
Don't worry about it being fake its just inexperienced people volunteering to do overflow work for Aegis call centres such as Myki, Suncorp etc.

Four calls from this number in the past week. No voice mail, no ability to talk to anyone when I call the number back.

Aegis, and all companies who use this service, have no respect for their customers. As soon as I find out on whose behalf Aegis tried to contact me I will discontinue whatever arrangement I have with that company AND inform that that Aegis is the reason.

I hope you do the same. Companies need to understand there are consequences if they outsource to a company who do not treat their customers with the same care and respect as them.

A call from Myki with an excuse for not crediting money added online to my account, leaving the card useless and me without funds to travel.

7 November 2018 - This number was the StarTrack Couriers investigation line who called to follow up on a complaint I had raised about a pickup not taking place over the course of three days (and three individual requests to collect the item).

No idea who this is. Called twice in 2 minutes. I don't answer interstate numbers I don't know, so let them go to VM. Nothing was left.

I ring back from a private number, and it tells me the number is disconnected. Sounds as dodgy as all hell to me.

Darrel, You must have been reading my mail. How is it you are so well informed as to the structure of Myki. They called me too - a complete and utter waste of time.

Just a thought... I have worked in a call centre, and know from experience that we were often calling workplaces, and landlines, where anyone can pick up the phone. It is not at all uncommon for someone to claim to be the customer, when it is actually a wife, husband, personal assistant, or even a troublemaker of some sort. Whilst I understand that it can be a concern to answer the two ID questions, I suggest that it would be a far greater concern if anyone could pick up the phone and say yes, I am John Smith, and we had just taken them on face value, at which point someone other than yourself can have complete access to your account. Including *really* sensitive information, such as banking details. Just a thought... As always - if you are unsure about whether or not it is a legitimate call from Company X, then call back the customer service number for that company and if it was a legitimate call then there will be a record of the outbound call.

I applied an AMEX a few days ago. Since then I kept receiving the call of this number in my work phone. Each time I picked up the phone, there was no voice.Today I received it in my mobile phone.I think they have got all my communcation detail. A woman then talked to me and wanted to ask me some security questions. I said OK. First she asked me my date of birth. I asked 'Can you tell me what the purpose of your calling is?' Then the line was cut.

May be Myki as I've also had topups disappear to never-never land. If so it only confirms my totally negative attitude to the way this has been run - even though other cards such as London's oyster card have worked well.

It was a call from Amex, they offered me a new credit card (i'm already an existing, happy, client of theirs).

I have checked with Amex on the offer presented and it turns out of have been a genuine offer.

Even though my call was genuine, still pays to be vigilant...
