Called 3 times in as many days. No message left.

Calls daily using different 03 numbers, never leaves a message. Scammers

Rings all the time, goes to my message bank and always hangs up so tired of all these calls.

didnt know the number so didnt answer but ringing at 10.50pm ^&*( woke up my kids..... who the heck rings at that hour

wanting money for domestic violance, sounded like a real person but clearly a recording. FRAUD

Have had repeated calls from (03) 8588 3916 - most I have ignored and waited to see if they leave a message - they don’t. Tonight I answered but didn’t say anything. No one at the other end - I guess the computer was waiting for me to say something and when I didn’t it hung up. I have a silent number and am sick of these callers accessing my number.

They keep calling and don't say anything.

Caller: Gave her name, but dont remember it

This EXACT same voice/cadence/person has rung me about 5 times the past month. Different name given each time (last time was 'Melanie Stevens' - different name this time).
Different numbers each time, but this was todays number.
Last time it was a survey of Australian charities; time before was some sort of homeless charity.
Today's was for some sort of Domestic Violence charity.
I SUSPECT it is an AI-driven robot who sounds VERY real(Even giving herself a real name).
Last time, I accidentally forced her to go off-script when I didnt understand her question, and she asked the EXACT same question 3 times.
When I did the same again intentionally, I got the exact same question 3 times again; same inflection, cadence, words.
When I blurted out I was talking to a freaking ROBOT, she actually laughed, and after a pause, started asking me the same question again exactly as before.
My suggestion? Get her to move off-script, and see how she responds.
I keep thinking about these phone-calls, and it creeps me out.
Every time I hear that gushy, over-caring voice, I start trying to figure out how I can prove beyond all doubt that it is a robot, but I'm about 85% certain it IS...

This number rings me several times a day and never leaves a message. Anyone know how I block the number from my home phone please? It's a Panasonic hands free, about 10 years old

This number has called 12 times (that I know of) since the start of December last year and increasing in frequency. Pests that obviously do not get the message! They do not leave any details so I do not answer and that will continue - I have blocked the number.

Persistent caller. They phone a couple of times a week, but I leave the answering machine on and they don't leave a message

This number called me again today (I guess I forgot to add them to my blocklist the first time! Fixed now!)

The script was almost identical to the last time they called, same voice, same hyper-cheery tone despite being about domestic violence during a pandemic. They gave me the same pitch as they did to GW: "we need 3 people to donate & we've already had 2 others today, we just need you". A new addition this time, when I mentioned I only donate online they read out their full web address.

Thanks to Anonymous above, I found their details in the Australian Charities And Not-For-Profits Commission government register, with details of financials. Seems to be a very small charity operating out of Victoria. But even if it's legit - don't give your financial details out to unsolicited phone calls! It could be an impersonator. Do your own charity research & donate through official charity websites instead.
