I think these scam are part of the overseas call centre's. There must be an agreement that they are paid according to how many calls they make and not results. If i don't use my landline i don't get calls general but i do use it or someone calls me then i receive these stupid calls. Strange how we have only had this problem since we had to put up with overseas call centres isn't it

Hi, I received a call today from (03) 9038 3887, I also missed calls from (03) 8256 1755. It was ORC International. It was a survey. Even if they did call me when I was half asleep, there's no way I would've given out my address or bank account. Questions were basic. If they phone me again I will complain. I added my numbers to the
Do Not Call Register today, hope it works. If you see these numbers, don't call them back, if you answer hang up, wish I had. I've also blocked the numbers.

these people clled me claiming that they were from the Australian Government. I told them to remove my number forom their calling list as per the law and they hung up .... obviously they are liars.

Called me to ask a few short questions. They asked for my age, but instead I gave them a bracket. Didn't seem to want anything else.

said they were a government server surveying health and exercise in the community in last 12 months must be the 4th -5 th call

I received a call on my mobile from this number,it is from Aus gov for survey ,but I am busy,they op the call.

Caller was http://orcinternational.com.au/ calling on behalf of the Aus Govt.
It was for National Visitor Survey (TRAVEL BY AUSTRALIANS) http://tra.gov.au/research/latest-nvs-report.html
As it is on behalf of a government body, I don't think the DNCR applies.

How old I was, not date of birth.
Which year I arrived in Australia.
Which suburb of Sydney I lived in after prompting when I said just Sydney.
I declined to continue Survey after this question..
I blocked the number.

These jerk offs are persistent I'll give them that.
They have been calling me at least once a week for the last 4 weeks.
I don't answer the call as I recognise the area code as being for Victoria, and I don't know anyone from there anyway.
If it was important they could always leave a message, but they don't.
F##king cold calling telemarketers/surveyors are the scum of the earth as far as I'm concerned, they have no morals at all.

I used to get these turkeys ringing my work where we used to receive about 300 phone calls a day, they wouldn't take "No Thanks"for an answer, so next time they called I gave them a dose of the most disgusting verbal filth I could muster and they never called back again.

They called on the weekend, three rings and then stopped, so I came here to find out about them. Love this site, it helps a lot when you know who is calling and what for. I just don't know how they get hold of my number in the first place...

Received a call on my mobile from this number stating they were calling on behalf of the Australian Sports Commission/Association for a survey. Claim the survey is for the government.
Have blocked the number.

They just keep on calling silent no to , good thing about google type in the no and it tells you if its a crank caller

The same people call me from different phone numbers all the time!!! I have about 6 that I have blocked on my phone now !
