This guy rang me up said he was with Australian scam.gov.au, said someone in California was using my phone # and details, said I had to down load a certain app, half way through down load I cancelled, only Indians spoke to me and only Indian voices in the back ground so I trusted my gut, definitely a scam, they have tried to call back 4 times have blocked #.

Caller: (03) 5953 3108

Called initially from a suspected spoofed number 0480 900 011) - claiming to be from “hotmail” and telling me an account I had closed >10 years ago was hacked and is being used for illegal activity on tinder, twitter etc. I hung up, after which they called from 03 5953 3108 and asked why I hung up.

After I said they’re a scammer and should be ashamed they called me a b*st**d, I said f-u and they continued to proceed with profanity for 30seconds. Was great.

Caller: Scammers pretending to be PayPal

Received first call from 0483 945 513 - realised it was a scam so hung up, they then tried calling me back instantly from (03) 5953 3108

Said they are from Paypal investigating fraudulent purchase of gift cards from our paypal account. SCAM! He asked me to put the phone on loud speaker so I could see my "apps" and wanted me to install an app to allow them to "block and credit back the transaction", asked if I had an iphone or android.

I hung up and then they instantly tried calling me back twice from 03 5953 3108
