How is it that here in Australia, we have to put up with these so & so idiots from India and they are rude & aggressive as well! I rang the number back from my home phone, when they picked up, they just went straight into their sales pitch, I said you do t even know who I am! I then asked him what country are you from, he said India, I then asked him why do the numbers & areas come up on the phone as being from local Victorian suburbs. This kind of trash needs to be stopped! Is anyone doing anything about it?! Telstra, politicians?

Two calls from these clowns today. The first telling me that a major telco is installing "fibre optical cables" to my house and would I like to take advantage of their offers? The poor use of industry nomenclature was a dead giveaway of the spurious nature of the call, as was the fact that they said an old suburb that I lived in and then gave the post code - ostensibly for that suburb - as for my office approx. 100 km away. I told him he was an idiot and needed to do better research if he wanted to defraud people.
Second call was much more aggressive, pushing their vendor comparison service but asking a bunch of questions really not relevant to comparing RSPs.
Pretty sure their objective is phishing for personal info. Give them nothing except a dose of invective.

7 calls in 2 days
We need to change the Communications Act or whatever act governs the behaviour of the companies making these nuisance calls
Need to be able to see correct caller ID not some phantom Australian number for a call centre in India
Very annoying

(03) 5897 3001 - Routes offshore calls into a server presenting location of caller from Kialla East, VIC.
Missed 2 calls earlier (no voicemail left) and answered 3rd in 1day.
Knew my name and wanted to make sure I had a great deal for my internet as I was on NBN.
I'm not on NBN.

These excuses for humans are the most arrogant I have ever had to deal with! Despite telling them SEVERAL TIMES not interested they still keep pestering me, sometimes three times a day!

They ring on my mobile in a Jablocom handset so unfortunately, I can't block that number.

As a former Chair of Coalition Communications and Information Policy Committee I find it absolutely astounding that the ACA hasn't directed that excuse for a company that operates those VOIP numbers that permit outsiders to pretend they are using local numbers, to cut those people off. In fact, I think it is time such companies were banned from operating in Australia/to Australia, full stop, since all the scammers/crooks and pestering telemarketers use them so they can regularly and easily change numbers!
