Caller: Active Offers hang up and call back, they have some kind of robot speaking with an Australian accent gives you the option to speak to a salesperson .... LOL or press 5 to be removed from their call list. Hit 5 then hang on, theres a delay and they ask you to confirm you want to be removed from their call list hit 1, hit 1 and wait ... wait and eventually they confirm you've been removed from the list. Hopefully it works. I nearly hung up during the confirm step and reckon a lot of people just hit 5 and hang up, they would then say you didnt confirm so they left you on the call list.

Caller: Some pleasant sounding Indian women On my msg bank due to not answering these types of scam calls. "Hello, you there Mr @#$%%^?........Hello, you there Mr @##$%^?............Hello, you there Mr @#$%%^?.........Hello, you there Mr @#$%%^^?" This sh*t goes on for another minute or so.
Then the penny drops, and realises she is talking to my msg bank. "Ok, bye then, I'll ring back later."
I immediately block number. Although somewhat hesitantly, due to my love of female Indians attempt at fluent English. Very soothing tones.

What seems to be happening is that the ACMA has relaxed the Communications Act. to allow the originating caller a number that appears to be within this country. The receiver of this call sees this number presented on their phone and will more than likely answer it. I get this sh..t all the time for example a number presented to my mobile was 000000001, what currywall dreamt that up. If a normal person rang 000 regardless of the extra zeros who do you reckon you would get. To make your voice heard get onto the TIO get a case number and get them off their arse and do what they are expected to do....not just sit around having Latte & bashed avocados & long lunches....rattle some cages, even if nothing comes of it, least you might feel better.....merry christmas all. What really sux is these calls are usually when your driving, so you come back to sub-light, pull over, see that the call went to message bank, the f..kers don't leave a message and you nearly get cleaned up by a double B & $0.29 poorer
