Caller: Suncorp It's legit, but annoying. 1. I used to work for Suncorp, so can confirm it's legit. 2. Annoying because, if you have a "high'ish" credit card balance, they call you to 'help'. Even though you don't need it and all is under control. It's an automated process that Suncorp has and the outbound team in Manilla have to call to try to help you make payments/ bring this balance down. You can't call them back because it's a Suncorp dialler (machine) that calls you. It's not a traditional call centre that it routes to. Hope this helps :)

Caller: Claims to be suncorp Said they could set up a payment plan. I asked "for what?" I said we have a CC that we pay off monthly. It was very hard to hear or understand him. Don't know if it was legit or not but seemed suspicious to me.

Caller claims to be Suncorp calling about credit card knew my first name. When pressed on who they were they said they were calling on behalf of Suncorp and about credit cards rates. When I said they were a scammer they said check the 13 number but I said the number they called from was a Sydney number and Suncorp is Brisbane headquarter. Told them I would be reporting the call to authorities, then hung up.

The guy rang and he knows my name. Honestly, I don’t like this marketing method used by Suncorp if that’s the case. I brings worries and that’s not healthy feeling, as increased scammers online these days.

I received the same call everyone else is reporting (Filipino accent, stating they're calling from National Australia Bank on behalf of Suncorp). They knew my first and last name and the type of credit card I had, however when they asked me to verify my suburb, I shut down the conversation and said I wasn't comfortable divulging that information on a cold call. I think they've heard this plenty of times before because she didn't fight me on it and said if I had any queries regarding my card to call Suncorp on *whatever number she rattled off" and we went our own ways. So I believe it was legit, just not an ideal way to approach their customers.

Caller: Suncorp They are calling anyone who has an outstanding balance of $1,000 or more on their Suncorp credit card, regardless of how they choose to pay it off. It makes no sense to sign up to an instalment plan and pay interest when I already pay off the entire balance before the interest free period expires every month. It would be nice if they used smarter criteria. It feels like they are preying on people with a poor understanding of credit cards.
