Tax scam - asked about income, mortgage, house value, saying they could help us get 80% of our income tax back.
Said she was from Gordon Wells but would not give reference website or return number.

Lady called from Gordon & Wells, saying could help us gets up to 80% of our tax back and asked awful lot of questions regarding combined income, home mortgage, super, savings.....when she heard I was googling her firm up, she said I am not eligible for the scheme.

My mobile rang only 4-5 times I rang the number back and it said it was disconnected

This number called me and advised they are from "Gordon and wells" and said my name came up to receive some rebates , I said I wasn't instereated and we both hung up , googled it and it's a law firm? Weird

Missed call from this number then I called back the number was disconnected

Asked for my mother, who is not associated with my number as far as I know. When I said I wasn’t who they were looking for there wasn’t any “sorry, wrong number” or “do you know where to find her?” They just straight up hang up on me. Very strange call. Obviously a scam of some sort. Always google weird numbers! Protect the vulnerable people in your life.

Said he was from Gordon wells and was calling about rebates I could get. When I said I wasn’t interested he told me if I had a partner and combined income was over $100k we could get a rebate. Refused to remove my name off the ‘database’ and when I requested to speak to a supervisor I was passed on to a ‘colleague’ who then said the supervisor wasn’t in. Scam!!

Caller: I think he said his name was Gordon - from a wealth management company

Nuisance/unsolicited call, wanting to talk finances. I terminated the call when I realised.

Just rang the number back. Yep. disconnected.
