Not true - these numbers can be legitimate business calls. my work is 029 and i call other businesses in Victoria that are 039
029 = NSW & 039 = VIC

I'm getting calls from this number daily, sometimes more than once a day! I don't answer any more, I see the number come up and let the ansafone deal with it, then just delete.

Agree with David 3.11.18 and get a Telstra Call Guardian System. You do not need to be with Telstra, any phone company will work as it is hardware based. We have not had one cold caller or spam call since installing May 2018. I have recently added a second phone service (VoIP Service) using a Siemens Gigaset system and this does not have this ability. I am searching for ways to block calls with my provider. Note: The Call Guardian connects to a standard phone socket and gets VoIP(ed) at my modem. It works perfectly and No, I do not work for Telstra, never have and never will!

I am on the no call list and I just got a call from (02) 9188 1280 asked if it was Joyce speaking I said yes then she hung up I’m just so over it

This number has rang my mobile 5 times today and just rang the home number. I had tried to ring it back once but got an automated message ‘not connected please try again’. Hubby answered the home call and let them dribble for a while. They said they were from the Australian federal government and calling about solar rebates. Hubby asked for an ABN or ACN. Or the name of the government department they worked for and they said they weren’t authorized to provide that information. Needless to say, hubby soon lost patience with them and ended the call with a few choice words. Let’s see what happens next.

Back to the immediate hangup if answered - likely a computer calling and no scammer available when the phone is picked up. Since most phone calls to landlines now go through the NBN's crappy VOIP system, the NBN should be blocking them, not individual Telcos. But then service from NBN and that supercilious bloke in the TV ads? Good luck with that!

Wanted to advise of federal solar panel rebate, which of course only exists for sale of STCs. He wanted me to have an "executive salesperson" call on me. Told him we had solar panels and weren't interested.

Missed call as my home phone is not working properly but has called previously. Obviously a scam as I have all known contacts in my mobile & number is not known to me. googled the number Farrar Gesini Dunn Family Lawyers Sydney NSW came up but when visiting their website the number is different.
