Caller: Qantas 100% Qantas. I don't dis others on this page who have said it's a scam - I was suspicious too, which is why I'm here. But the same number rang my wife and then me within 30 seconds of each other. We didn't answer either time. No message left but could hear background call centre sounds. However we actually were awaiting a call from Qantas (we were claiming a refund - the Qantas call centre I rang said they'd process it and call me back - and as we were both claiming, Qantas had both of our mobile numbers). There was enough postive feedback on this site that I rang the (02) 9123 6000 number back - and it was most definitely Qantas.

Caller: Scammer Anyone reviewing this, please be aware that scammers can also add comments on here saying the number is correct. I thought it was as i was in the middle of changing flights, cancelling the first flight but to make the 2nd leg. So I was 10mins into being on hold to Qantas, and only just started to tell have the guy, who didnt seem to know his job very well, to process my changes, when I started to receive calls from this number! ODD, very ODD. He hadnt even done anything to make updates. It was at least 20mins talking before he processed the change, let alone get to the point of talking refund for tax. SOOO how did these people know about my change, and WHY were they calling even before it was in system ? I still got calls all afternoon, and NO TICKET issued at airport. my manage booking updated but nothing else. The lady at checkin fixed it!.. She said refind would go to card used that is ON THE SYSTEM. Im sorry but this is extremely odd.. either they are intercepting qantas calls, or someone how works for them is also part of the scammer network. Doesnt add up. Ill be reporting via AustGovt Scam report and to Qantas directly. DONT ever give out card details to someone who says they are something with NO PROOF.

Caller: (02) 9123 6000 Scammers are piggybacking off the Qantas number so there is no way you can tell if it’s legitimate or not. Never give personal details or credit cards details to these people. The scammers have our details from the Qantas 25 June 2025 breach. Be very wary. They haven’t snared the Qantas app yet so if you have to deal with that communication channel rather than the phone numbers. Very scary times that the hackers can do that. Fraud essentially.

Caller: Qantas I ignored this call initially and they did not leave a message. They continued to ring. After 4 calls I gave in and answered. It is Qantas. I rang their call centre earlier in the day as I could not check in to a flight - they had website issues. Unbeknown to them it was subsequently resolved (their website started working again). They were ringing me back to try to help with my issue. So definitely Qantas.

Caller: Qantas I received a call from a young woman who said she was from Qantas. She asked if there was a Nigel Brough there as he had this telephone number when making a booking during Covid. I didn’t make a booking during Covid and I have never met or heard of anyone with this name. Seemed suspicious to me as the call made no sense. I am a Qantas FF so wouldn’t this be picked up on their database?

Caller: (02) 9123 6000 Jose called from ‘Qantas’ regarding my COVID travel credits. I don’t have any travel credits and one would assume they would call me by my name, not my initials. No email, nothing on the app, the callback number was one digit different. Wouldn’t trust at all.

Caller: 9123 6000 Yeah I called Qantas and confirmed this was an actual number. They outsource calls to other countries like africa so it might seem odd at first. Felt bad for abusing the person as they wanted my credit card details to refund money. Sounds 100 per cent dodgy but just call Qantas first.
