Caller: "NBN"

After the tell-tale silence I answered "How would you like to scam me today?"

The response: 'this is not a scam', and she then tried to tell me she was from the NBN and wanted to help me with slow internet speeds.

I had a similar call the day before, from almost the same number: .... 4804.

Said they were from Visa Mastercard and that I had overseas transactions this morning and went on to identify me and what they had didn't add up I thanked them and said I would contact my bank. bank said a scam

Had call from this number and another 5 in one day all from same number and subsequent numbers scam

Definitely a scam call. I don't say anything - all these numbers are virtually the same. Once they say "hello" I just hang up, not interested in listening to their scams.

Seriously f*ck off

2 missed calls from this number 3hrs apart, no message left either time. Smartcall said it's potential fraud. Now blocked
Also got one in between from a similar number (ending in 04 only difference)

Said they were from Mastercard and Visa (which are two separate companies. I replied "No you're not!" and they hung up.

Scam robot call, block straight away!!

Man on the phone said he was from the fraud squad and money had been accessed from my account - I advised I had just been to the bank and would return to check any problems, then I hung up. I rang the particular bank involved and there were no issues but as I gave no information the bank said just consider it an attempt at defrauding me.

Received a call from this number yesterday. Reported then. Another call today. Obviously forgot to block!

Didn't answer as Sydney number and do not know anyone in Sydney. Suspected scam based on above comments.

Said I had overseas amounts that had come through this morning from a Peter Baxter(???). It was for Netflix and Amazon and the amounts were for a couple of thousand all up.

This number is calling every day, also a similar number ending in a 3, rather than 1. Ignoring the number but no message.

Caller: Said they were comm bank

Informed me of a $500 transaction on my account and wanted details from me. Hung up when I said I would go to my bank myself.

Not a recognised call so not answered and no message left. Checking here and bingo! Adding to the previous reports. The fourth unsolicited call to my landline today

Caller: Scam Call

Called up claiming they were from Commbank and they detected an unauthorised transaction. Legitimate questions were asked but they hung up when I questioned why they were calling from Sydney when he said he was from a Melbourne branch.
