This is from Vodafone. I was trying to find out if the call was really from Vodafone. They had no idea and assumed that it was from Vodafone because it was a known Vodafone number! There was no note so, the assumption is it was from “Sales”. May I suggest we BLOCK these stupid numbers, even though they were from Vodafone? Below was part of my chat with Vodafone.

Xxx, Please accept my sincere apology for this inconvenience. If I was in your place I would had felt the same.

Just to inform you. There is a automated Dialer, Dials the Number randomly. Once the Automated recognize Human Voice and then the Call is connected to the Agent. Once the Agent Verifies the Account with the account Holder.

Then the agent access the account. (For Security reason)

So you did not verify the account. That is the reason the account was not accessed and the notes were not left.

I hope I was able to answer all your queries today on this chat today.

100% Vodafone.

I have had calls from this number a number of times over the years.
They call when looking to update your current plan with a new offer that is available.

Vodafone scam. They use the correct phone from their website but scammers can do that. They mask their numbers like that. They ask for PIN right away. Don't answer.

Someone calls and says he is calling from Vodafone, he will ask for your pin but I forgot. When I called Vodafone, they said I was going to be scammed by this number so don’t give anyone your pin not even Vodafone customer care.

50/50; No automated call at the beginning to let you know they're Vodafone, also no text to let you know that Vodafone would be calling you which have always been the case from the very beginning for me. They try to placate you into a false sense of security by informing you that they will not ask for any personal information, unless you make any transactions through the phone and that they're calling you on a Vodafone registered number. Doesn't make you feel any safer when they only asked for you to verify your first name but somehow has details of your plan in front of them. You can never be too careful with any calls these days. If I wanted an upgrade I would go in to see the team myself, why would I want to spend more money on things I don't want or need.

I put this in the Google search window "Vodafone (02) 9015 3801"

Here is the link to the search
https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/notify/customer-care
Vodafone website states that this is one of the numbers that they use to contact customers. There is also a list of other numbers that they use.
So, ask yourself are you a current Vodafone customer?

Even if they are Vodafone or not, I'm not interested on what they have to offer. I'm happy with my current plan and offerings. If I need, I go to the store myself and ask. Simple as that...

Whilst this phone number is listed on Vodafone's website that doesnt mean that it is them ringing you, phone numbers can be spoofed, if the phone call is unsolicited meaning you didnt request a call back for some reason it could still be a scam and I dont think Vodafone would ask for your PIN from a cold call. I blocked the number.

Caller: (02) 9015 3801 Is Vodafone sales 100%

This is not a phishing scam or otherwise. This is Vodafone sales. You can call Vodafone to confirm this. There are few silly comments on the thread and if you are even in doubt all you have to do is ask the agent to call
You back after you have confirmed they are legit. They won’t mind at all and they have really good contract deals available so it’s always good to give them an ear for your own benefit

Caller: Kogan NBN - Vodafone!?

I’ve had several calls from this number and SMSs. Actually unintentionally answered this morning and told them that I have no problems with my internet and hung up on them. This was followed immediately afterwards with a SMS from them.

I went into a Vodafone Store yesterday and was told it was a scam. The lady told me to delete everything that I have received from them which I did straight away.

I don't know whether this is a scam or not but 2 years ago I got a voice mail from this phone number and the started saying hello, hello? Is the this (name) hello can you hear me?
1) if you work for a phone company surely you know it's a voice mail?
2) They sounded British (just a random fact)
3) There was a lot of backgrounds noise...
