HSBC Fraud dept checking on a transaction. I then called customer service on different number to confirm it was them and they advised yes as noted on my account from that dept. Genuine call from bank.

GENUINE. Email notifying of suspicious activity on bank account requesting that I call this number to sort it out. I could not verify the number as genuine on their website so I called HSBC on their 1300 number as listed on their internet banking site and verified that the email was genuine.

Got an email for a suspicious transaction made on my credit card. The last four digit matches my HSBC card and the transaction was indeed made by me so it’s genuine. After calling, my card was unblocked. If you don’t believe the number then call the HSBC number on their website instead.

WARNING: I received an email purportedly from HSBC fraud asking me to call this number because of suspicious activity on my account. I confirmed with HSBC via a separate HSBC customer number that they had not sent the email it is a scam.
