Caller: Zane

Called asking if I could pass a message onto neighbour. Not sure if he was fishing for or wanting to confirm my neighbour's name (did give me a name for him) but he knew my address and my first name. Wanted me to text so he could give me his details to pass onto neighbour but I declined and wrote them down instead - gave me (02) 8898 0119. Asked him how he got my number and he mumbled something about a 'private database'. Whole thing just sounded sus and creepy.

(02) 8898 0119 Said they got my number from social media & looking for someone who I know???

Thank you for posting as my sister just got a call from this guy as well asking for me. These scammers are on another level!

Scammers saying they want to speak to a member of the family regarding a serious matter that they’re helping them with. It’s BS

Caller: Julie - Credit Corp

Credit Corp keep ringing our place of business from this number regarding an employee's private financial affairs. Have asked them to stop calling multiple times - ignored. Stay away from this unethical company!!!

they stated their name as khyshi can I give a call back asap called back and they wanted to know if I knew a person and that they are wanting to talk to them about a personal matter. I stated call them or email them . they stated could u leave a message and give it to them I haven't talked to that person for 10 years on on facebook . i asked how they had my number and they said a data base I stated my number is silent and on the do not call register.

I’m glad I read these reviews - this scammer git my name off my friends fb friends list - somehow managed to get my phone number and asked me to pass on a message. I’m absolutely FURIOUS!!!! My FB friends list and phone number are locked on my profile. I rang him back and absolutely BLASTED him!!! How DARE these scammers resort to such low scum bag tactics!!!!!

Caller: Paul

Paul rang and messaged family members basically threatening them. When I tried to return his call the number was unavailable. To my complete surprise 'Paul' wanted to keep his and the company anonymous. They have hassled me for personal information but when they don't receive it all of a sudden I haven't got a 'Financial Opportunity'. Rang the office and was asked by the receptionist which company I would like to speak to like it was some sort of pyramid scheme. Beware.

Credit Corp Solutions, debt collectors engaged by financial companies, such as banks and so forth.Obtaining numbers and breaching so many laws by calling people and getting information illegally

Caller: Zain

Called my old work phone asking to speak to me. Collegue messaged me and said that he did not give any details but stated that it was a 'private matter' and that I wouldn't know Zain by name but would know what he was calling about.

I called on a private caller ID. He said he was calling with regards to my pervious Commonwealth Bank issue. Was unable to answer why Commbank wasn't contacting me directly. Then proceeded to try to 'confirm my ID' by asking me for private information like full name, DOB and email.
Asked him to email me with the issue whatever issue he was calling about because if he was legit, then he would have my email on record to contact me about. He said he would email in 30min, Surprise Surprise , no email and no contact since.

Very dodgy that he has my old work number and name.

Caller: Zane

Zane is a debt collector, as an ex debt collector were basically given a script of what to say to someone when we are calling trying to "look for someone" and we are dealing with a "personal private matter" basically the person they are trying to reach isn't taking their calls, isn't responding to calls or texts so they result in calling family members, neighbours & real estate agents to pass a message on.

Called my work asking for me and my phone number and asking if I work full time or part time.

A guy called Zain called me at which time the call showed up no caller id
he asked me about my son , he knew his name and what suburb he lived in
he wanted to speak to him i said he wasn’t here to which he asked does he have a partner and how could he contact her
i told him i would not give peoples details
he sent a text message with the number (02) 8898 0119 in it for my son to call from mobile 0427 049 561
someone needs to stop these people i’m at a point now where i hesitate to answer no caller I

Caller: Zain @ 9am, Friday 15 December 2023

Had a call from ‘Zain’ asking to put him in touch with someone I knew to discuss a private matter. Said he was in Sydney and could not disclose the nature of the private matter, but that they would know. Knew me by name as well as my phone number, and knew the name of who I knew and not their real name.
He then asked if I knew anyone closer to the person I knew? If I could give him any information who is closer to the person I knew? To which I replied, you haven't told me who you are, where your from or why you're calling, I will give you no information. He sent me a text message instructing to call the landline number, and the text came from 0428 255 586.

Here is the reply I got from the report to Telstra with regards to Zain and (02) 8898 0119

As you probably surmised, this is almost certainly some sort of scam.

There are an infinite variety of these sorts of cons, and it looks like this is yet another variation on a theme.

Zain called, he knew my name and asked if I knew a person (I did know the person, we are facebook friend, he is the husband or a friend) however my Facebook is locked so if you are not my friend you cant see my friends. Anyway Zain said he needed to urgently speak to this friend and want to sms the details, I said he could send me the details. I message my friend and we believe this to be a scam. Zain said he got my details from a private database. I am on the do not call list, so I have reported to Telstra and Crimestopper.

Caller: Zane from Sydney

Tues 17.10.2023... Zane text my neighbour, in Redcliffe, and asked her if she was neighbours with us. She called the 03 number and said yes and he asked if she could pass on a message to us. She said no, ring them yourself. IM BUSY. But he asked again if she could pass on the message and to call Zane in Sydney, as our phones must be disconnected and he couldnt get through. She spoke to me over the fence and showed me the text. I screenshot it and googled the number. Scam! Wow.. Susan
