Its QBE insurance if you have lodged a claim. it is not a scam. if you dont have their insurance or have not been involved in an accident then clearly they have called the wrong number

She claimed to be Sharne from QBE she had a terrible line and I could hear a dog bark
She also sounded really unprofessional

I was very suspicious so I told her I would call the 1800 number I was already given regarding my claim etc.
I just found all these complaints from this number online so I can see it was a scam

Caller: Scammer posing as RACQ for Crash Farming

This number contacted me regarding an accident I had had, claiming to be the other driver's insurer. They had all the details you could imagine, including specifics. They tried to confirm my details and refer me to a lawyer to purse the CTP case. I was suspicious, so I spoke to the Qld Govt Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) who advised that these guys were 'Claim Farmers', basically selling your personal details. This is illegal in Australia. These guys have a backdoor to an insurers database or an insider passing out the details.
Do not speak to these people and report the number to the MAIC Car Crash Scammer.

I don't have QBE insurance, don't like being phoned at six in the morning, and could not understand the woman s accent.
Told her as they should have that information if I was a client, and send the request via Post.
Told her then I will visit their office in town. She said that's not nesacary, then started to say more, couldn't understand the accent.
Now I am awake. bloody nusince calls.

Called and just continuously said hello in a strong accent, then said if I could hear them they couldn't hear me so please hang up and call a number she gave me then she was going to hang up, supposedly couldn't hear me even when I blew a whistle down the phone, she did say it was QBE
