Calls nearly ever day and never leaves a message. I do not return a call.

Hmm now that I know the number doesn't come from Commbank, I'm glad I hung up the call.. as soon as they asked my info.

You're all retarded it's CommBank, they confirm it's an official call by getting a code through the app. You have debt you need to pay if this number is calling you. It is NOT a scam, f*ck wits.

Called in regards to CommBank, saying my partner has a late fee and needs to pay it, but he went into commbank earlier this week to pay this “late fee” he’s been getting calls about but the staff member in store confirmed my partners account is NOT in rears and there is no money to be paid….

Checked with CBA - they said they never phoned me and told me to report it to hoax @ cba.com.au

This is a legit CBA collections number. I read the scam messages on this page and haven't been answering, but today I decided to answer and see for myself. All I gave them was my birth year, nothing else and they told me my account numbers, balances, email address, phone numbers and address, which were all correct. We are behind in a mortgage payment so they are calling to get a payment plan so we don't default. I would not ignore this number.

Same experience as many above. Calls regularly including on weekends. I don't answer. Sometimes a voicemail that only says Hello. They alternate between this number and 8629 4554. I ignore a call from one number and the next call will be from the other number. We have checked our bank notifications and it is not the bank.

Could be debt collector ro scam. I paid off late charges on the CC which I had missed. Still getting these calls. I never pick up numbers I do not recognise. CommBank would not honour scams which put my credit card in the red - and I have paid interest on it ever since. So if it is CommBank, they get the same treatment they gave me.

I skipped the call assuming it was a scam. I called back and took me to commonwealth bank., everything was legit. They also sent the notification to my app to confirm it was them

I have this number call me all the time during the day and even early in the mornings

Received calls from (02) 8629 4612 and (02) 8629 4428. First then sent me a message pretending to be CommBank. I am not sure how they can do this.

The lady wants me to confirm my full name, date of birth and address.

I said, why do you need this information.

She goes to confirm my identity.

I said, but, I don't have any account with commbank.

she goes, still I need to verify your identity before i can help.

i said, I have no idea who you are and why you are calling?

She goes, without verification I can't see what I am calling you about. It's out privacy policy.

I told her I only got his number a week ago and I am not even sure how you got this number and why you are calling and messaging. I requested her to take my number off their list.

She goes I can't take it off the list but I will note down about your request.

Then few hours later, another call from these guys.

So, I called 132221 the real commbank to enquire what they are calling me about.

She said, if you are not a customer why would we call you. It must have been a scam caller.

Then I asked if you could check using my number if there was a customer on your database.

She goes, that is against our privacy policy to look up another person's detail using your phone number.

Then I asked her if she could confirm at least if these numbers belong to any of her call centers.

She looked the numbers and said, the numbers are not part of their call centers.

So, these are scam guys. Their system is very similarly cloned to commbank. I heard the set up as I called both the numbers and commbank original number.

You may mistakenly believe they are commbank but they are not.

Called this morning by this number. Seemed startled when queried about the legitimacy of the call. Asked why there hasn’t been verification in the commbank app. Called commbank following and they confirmed they haven’t attempted contact.

Unsure if it is commbank or not as they had just called me and it is currently 8:10pm Adelaide time, banks close around 5pm. And people here seem to be saying its a scam

Called me at 6 this morning and was reading into who’s number this is as calling from black town and that’s where I was born called back to see if it was com bank but told me my call is being recorded blah blah then told me about purchasing there products
