Caller: Fake scam from "Commbank"

If you're unsure and want to test it for yourself, ask them to verify the call through your commbank app. They won't be able to. Commbank will always verify

Messages and calls from such institutions such as banks Centrelink government etc NEED to have identification that is solely for them I have repeatedly told them this on their recorded phone calls . It is ridiculous not to have watermarked communications. This institutions can cause the financial ruin of someone!!!!

Repeatedly leaving voicemails asking to speak with first name (full legal first, very uncommonly used - only ever listed on documents asking for it specifically)

Caller: Commonwealth bank scam

Saw the number calling didn’t answer, searched the number and found people saying scam
Called them back, seemed very legit. Even had the dial tone commbank has. They asked me for my name to verify me, I gave them no information and asked them what information they need to verify me, they said they will get my name DOB and send a message to my app. I told them I’m not comfortable giving out my info. They said if your uncomfortable call the 132221. Which I did. CommBank confirmed there was no outgoing calls and in fact was a scam.

Do not give any information, even though it sounded 1000% legitimate

Calls everyday even at night so today I answered and they said they were from Commonwealth Bank. Asking for my daughter in regards to her Loan. I said she doesn't live here and as soon as I said that she was quick to hang up. I asked my Daughter if they had rang her and she said no one ever rings her from the bank. So its obviously a SCAM .

Could be legit, I do have debt with CommBank. But also have contacted debt consolidation/loan companies that I feel would sell my contact info, so proceed with caution is in similar situation.

This number leaves no message. When com bank calls my husband they leave a message. I don't believe this is the bank.

calls almost every day. leaves voice mail either silent , or usually a woman's voice saying "...hello? hello?"

Received a call and when answered, no one was there. 100% scam call. Block this number.

Caller: Someone pretending to be commonwealth bank

A lady called me in regards to a personal banking matter..she kept asking for my details. I asked what the problem was and she kept saying 'I can't disclose that as I need your information'
I said 'I'm sorry but I'm not giving you any information until I know what the matter is about"

She became frustrated with me and I told her I would call commonwealth bank.

I called back....It is a genuine Combank call...

Says they’re from commbank and are calling about a late fee for my credit card. I in fact do not have a credit card. I have received over 150 calls from them in the past couple of months. They call me late at night, early morning and spam call me continuously. I have called commbank to confirm if it is them and they have no idea who it is. Be careful
