Caller: HSBC
TXT Spoofing from 0411 990 1980411 990 198) HSBC. Legitimate SMS from HSBC HK came from 0411 990 198 Scam SMS also spoofing on this number saying: "Your verification code is xxxxxx. If you did not request this, Get in touch on (02) 8550 2480 to verify."
2 days later another SMS from same number (HSBC) 0411 990 198: "A new IOS 16 has successfully registered into your mobile application. If this was not yourself, Please contact us on 612 855 02500"
(02) 8550 2500 does not appear to be a number listed for HSBC HK or HSBC AU, number doesn't seem to be active though (19th Feb 2024)
On 20th Feb 2024 another text came, We need to speak to you regarding xxx AUD to (some asian name). Contact us now on (02) 8550 2560 REF, xxxxx to discuss this.
bloody scammers hammering us with multiple text trying to building up a story of my account being scammed LOL
