I called Telstra today on the 13 22 00 number to change some account details. All went well and after an hour or so I get a call from (02) 8302 6100, which naturally (for me) I didn't pick up. They left a voicemail and it was Telstra, not only that but the same person with whom I spoke with originally on the 13 22 00 number! So from my experience the (02) 8302 6100 number is an official Telstra number.

I have a missed call from this number today. Coincidentally, I had my telstra account hacked a few days ago and have had to reset passwords and now have telstra fraud and the police investigating. Surely this is not a coincidence? Interestingly, the hack included the adding of a woman with a Phillipino name to my account who then purchased 4 new phones and added them all to my account. The message left indicated that the guy was from telstra billing and asked me to call on 1800 814 242 (i think, accent was very strong). I am not going to ring that number, I will call on the usual telstra number 132200

It's a scammer. I phoned Telstra. If they call the number will start 1800.... This grp are not affiliated with Telstra. They call ask about a service. "How is ADSL?" they eventually get you to prove you are the account holder. They even offered a refund and wanted me to go online and enter a bank number. BEWARE!

This number keeps on ringing our house 4 - 6 times a day & when I answer they just listen for a good 30 seconds before hanging up. They also listen into the answering machine. It's really beginning to drive me insane. And now they have my mobile number and ring a few times then hang up before I get the chance to answer :(

This is an O/seas call centre used by Telstra! I made a complaint re service and have had several calls from them regarding that complaint. It is simply the calling number that shows when anyone in the call centre contacts you.

They keep calling our Optus mobile. It's a guy wanting our credit card details to buy a mobile phone.

It's a scam.

To the guy claiming this man is having an affair with his wife...you really need to sort out your marriage. How ridiculous that you assume this man is having an affair with your wife - it's clearly a scammer calling hundreds of other people a day - they are all in a call centre using the same number with many lines out.

What does your wife think of your suggestion she's unfaithful to you?

Oh my god - I would leave you too if I was YOUR wife!

This number keeps calling me, but only rings once each time. There is no way I can answer if it doesn't even complete a ring! i don't have a telstra account nor would I ever deal with Telstra. My number is already on a do not call list. SO VERY VERY ANNOYING!!!!

Getting regular unsolicited calls from this number. This happened to me not too long ago and they all said they were from Allphones. They knew I was out of contract and had all my details (but that doesn't prove they're legitimate). When the call went on too long or I complained about the calls or asked to speak to their manager or I asked them to put the offer in writing, they were consistantly rude and hung-up. Not sure if they were legitimate or this is them again, but I'm not going to waste my time finding out and getting hung-up on again. My advice is add that number to your contact list as "SPAM" and don't take the bait. If you do speak to them, tell them ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, no matter what they say or offer. Don't allow them scam you!
