Caller: Fraud company used by banks Well, looks like I'm not the trusting sort. I didn't answer my mobile as I didn't recognise the number. Googled it. Saw all the comments here and didn't trust the comments were genuine, but wanted to know if my card had a hold on it. Rang them back from messagebank, they knew my first name even though I didn't mention it. Told them I didn't trust them, so they offered to put me through to my credit union. Didn't trust that, which they applauded (didn't trust that either). Hung up and rang my credit union. Yes my card had a hold on it from an overseas transaction I had tried to make the evening before. And yes, the credit union use this company to vet any suspicious activity, and yes, I can understand why it looked suspicious as the card hadn't been used for a long time. So all OK for me, just seems amazing that the banks tell us not to trust anyone, then expect you to trust an unknown caller.

Safe & legitimate number from a man with an Australian accent calling on behalf of my bank. I received the call within minutes of spending an abnormally large amount on my debit card so I was not surprised & they did not ask for any personal information, in fact they only told me information regarding my recent purchase & asked me to confirm that I was the one who had made the purchase. Felt very safe & reassured. As above, they do transaction checks for Credit Institutions. If you're not sure ring your bank's card info line.

Caller: Scammer If your credit card is compromised your bank calls you not this number. Don’t be fooled by fake comments here, they are only attempting to look bona-fide. Block the number and call yor bank if you have any concerns about credit card fraud - simple. Otherwise you will soon learn first hand that scams like this one are credit frauds themselves.

Caller: Cuscal Ltd (02) 8299 9534, the number identified in my phone as Cuscal Ltd, just rang me. I don’t answer calls that is unknown to me. I just let it ring out and google the number. I found it as IT management, banking facility. My thoughts why is this number calling me. I listened to the voice mail. The lady knows my first name, which is alarming. Her message was to call the number right away. It sounded like my banking details is compromised. To ring them ASAP and be ready with membership. I do not have banking account with them or have a membership. Very clear this is a scam. Please be aware.

Left a message claiming they were from my bank & to call them back regarding suspicious activity on my card. Gave a number that was not my bank's number. Phoned my bank on their actual service number...they confirmed this number is not affiliated with them and is not a fraud detection company they use. No issues with my account. They made a note on my account about potential scam phone call. Do not give these people your details...if you are concerned, then phone your bank directly.

Received a cold call message, indicated a suspect transaction on my card and to call back with member number? Called back they wanted identity specifics...sure no. Called the bank..they confirmed no fraudulent activity on any of my accounts and no notations on my file...I don't even have a card so it's not even possible. To those calling this number legit??... if so this company is way off the mark.

This number is legit - left a message to call my bank with possible fraudulent transactions. Rang my bank using number on the back of the credit card and yes, someone was trying to use my card in the USA.

Caller: Fraud company used by banks Not a scam. But if in doubt, call your bank using the phone number found on the bank's website and ask them to confirm the number is genuine.
This is a legitimate fraud detection company contracted by smaller banks who don't have their own fraud team.
I was suspicious when contacted by this number, but they didn't ask for any personal details.

Caller: Cuscal (Banking Provider) Legit call - I made a large "fast payment" bank transfer (the maximum allowed each day) as part of moving my funds from one bank to another... this transaction was declined for some reason, and a phone call from this number followed minutes later. A member of their bank fraud team, to follow-up on the transaction in case it was fraudulent. Good to see they're on top of things and actively keeping an eye out for any possible dodgy activity!
