Amazon doesn’t “use” anyone; they’re Independent Contractors, many of whom bring a friend or spouse along to help. The “landline” is a proxy number so neither you nor the driver can see each other’s real mobile number

It’s literally the number Amazon Logistics uses nationwide. The driver (whom is an IC, not an employee) requests to contact the customer; the proxy number calls the driver, and then contacts the customer via the proxy. Neither the driver nor the customer have their real mobile numbers revealed to one another

Caller: Amazon driver Not scam! I didn't pick up, but when I got home an hour later the parcel was waiting for me at the door. I was gone only for 2 hours. It must have been the Amazon driver. I ordered it with Prime same day delivery.

Can confirm this number was for an Amazon delivery driver that was trying to figure out how to get my package to me. All clear!

Caller: I don't know I didn't answer it but after reading the legitimacy of it being an Amazon delivery number it makes sense because the call came in at the same time I received an email about the delivery.

Perhaps if the Amazon name came up on the phone more people would respond. I get too many calls from scammers so if the no name I will not answer. If it's important leave a message But the call says Sydney and I'm in Melbourne

Caller: Scam These scammers posting on here that this is somehow a legitimate Amazon number are hysterical. It is NOT Amazon, just some low rent scammers and their lackeys trying to fool you. Get a life losers

Caller: Amazon Definitely Amazon. Got a call and the guy was outside with my package. The gate was closed and he didn’t want to leave it unattended. 8:30pm on a Tuesday night in Brisbane. Unsure as to why it shows a Sydney number but it was legit.
