Recently left AGL as well.

Tried to negotiate a better deal after a decade with them but no cigar.

Recently left AGL they are now desperately trying to get us back as a customer. They were given ample opportunity to offer me a better deal before i switched providers. Their blatant greed and constant price gouging have encouraged others supplies to follow their lead. Thank god theres still some competitors who we can turn too for better rates.

I recently left AGL. The call was a hard sell to try to get me to cancel the move (as I hadn't received my final bill yet). Offered me a few incentives which were pretty much their standard new customer enticements. When I thanked him and said it was too late, he really cranked up the "assertiveness". Bye-bye AGL.

This is a spam/fishing call! I transferred from AGL to Another company via iSelect. This number-guy says he's from AGL retentions team and was wanting to confirm my identity by asking my address and bill details. I wasn't comfortable and said I needed to call AGL to confirm it was AGL. He says it is only through this channel and the support team wouldn't know about the deal but that I could call them and ask to be put through to the retentions team. He offered me $300 credit on gas and $300 credit on electricity and a better rate than offered at where I transferred to. I said I don't feel comfortable giving out my details and if you're from AGL they would know about it. He said you're welcome to call them and hung up on me. Called them and it's a scam call. Said they'd never call asking for personal details. Writing this here in case anyone might fall for it.

If this feed is anything to go by. I'd say it would be a safe bet it was AGL for me to then. No doubt offering a little, too late. You try and call them to negotiate prior to leaving and they call your bluff. They are just greedy and unfortunately for them they are going to be left with a very mature aged customer base that have not taken the time nor tech savvy to seek the smaller suppliers offering much better deals. Shame on AGL for being SO GREEDY..

It is a person pretending to be AGL when I rung AGL to let them know that there is a scammer going around pretending to be them. They said that they would never call any customer and ask for their ID. You have to contact them.. and the numbers that they are calling from not AGL numbers.

Rang but no one there, then received a message: Thanks (my name) for speaking with AGL today. On a scale of 1-5 where 1 is least satisfied and 5 is most satisfied, how satisfied are you by the service provided by our representative today? To opt out reply STOP.
From complaints above, seems AGL staff do this a lot, people leaving you for a reason and then bother them further!

Caller: AGL most probably

I was driving when the number show up on my phone, unknown caller so I'm guessing it's not important, didn't pick up. I just left AGL last week or so, transfer was completed two days ago....

Don't understand if they are offering a better rate to attract new customer, shouldn't the loyal customer be given priority for the rate, do you need to ask if you are saving us $$$

It's not a scam, it is AGL and they're wanting feedback as to why I was leaving them for another provider. They offered me a deal which had also been sent by email 2 days before. It's a call for customer retention. Easier to answer it if you can and tell them you've left because their prices are too high in comparison to others.

Called and did not leave a message. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Did just leave AGL for another electricity provider so maybe them based on the list of complaints detailed previously.

Seemed to be AGL. I recently left after a horrible experience with my internet and experienced bad customer service. The weird thing was they needed me to confirm my full name and address details before they could even tell me what they were calling about, seems fishy to me. I hung up.

As per others comments, left AGL after massive plan increase. Called to see if a better deal was available, told to look on their website! So left them after 15 years. Missed the call from this number (not unhappy about that!) but bemused they think after treating their customers so shabbily they think they are a chance to claw them back!

Picked up once but no response. Constantly calling, have had 3 times a day for last couple of days. Given the comments here, I too left AGL in the couple of days. How is it possible that they can call up given I'm on the do not call register.

AGL. Like many before me apparently, I tried in vain to get a better deal from them and they wouldn't budge so I left them for a better solar plan with rival company. They wanted me to switch back on a worse plan than I left with and tried to bribe me with a $100 credit. Lol try harder AGL.
