They messaged me saying they were called Collexa and there are some changes that need to be addressed. Wtf?

These guys have been contacting me on and off for the past 3 years now, chasing a origin bill which is not in my name and at an address I have never lived at. they email also, my responses go un replied.... pain in the butt!

I called back number (02) 8188 9788 spoke to a woman who said company name is NL mercantile a debt collection company.

These bunch of parasites are f**** they can eat my ass for all i care chasing a debt that is stat barred. Lying sacks of sh*t.

I get an automated message from this number at least two or three times a week chasing a gentleman named Glenn. I am a female who has had the same mobile number for over 15 years. This company is so RUDE. When I ask them to stop calling me, they assure me my number is deleted and apologize and two days later, another call. Today I LOST MY sh*t and am going to fill out a police report for continual harassment by this company. As for the collections manager (Camelia) she is also a piece of work, asked me if i had ever been a telemarketer - what's that got to do with being harassed????

Same thing rang saying i owed $200 for an origin bill from 2 years back...They actually somehow got the mobile number off my friend who refused to give any info but gave them my mobile number.. When i said thats rubbish i need more information they said their system was down and they would ring me back in which they never did.
I called origin who said nope nothing here sorry in fact that address you lived in 2 years ago when you closed your account you were in credit of $85.
So thank you NL Mercantile, yes you gave me a dodgy call but the outcome was I got $85 back :)

I received and email addressed to a person who has a different name to mine.
Got my legal advocate to send them a 'cease and desist' plus I have lodged a complaint with both ACCC and ACFA

They are debt collectors with no ethics.

Their tactic is simple - harrasment so that you pay them to go away.

Chasing me for some else’s debt. Explained and provided documents proving not my debt. One person says ok it will be resolved. 3 weeks later it all starts again and they don’t have anything on file.

Truly incompetent and their practices are illegal.

They are debt collectors. They have been pestering me about Origin bills from almost 6 years ago from an address that I have never lived in.

Low paid debt collectors just use harassment to try and force you to pay to make them go away.

Collexa rings looking for family member. You tell them they are not available. They ask you lots of personal information about a close relative but when you ask what it's about they can't tell you without the said person's permission but meanwhile they try to extract as much personal information about the said persons whereabouts as possible. If they don't have permission to talk to me then i'd say they are breaking the law. ???

A lady (had a New Zealand accent) asked for Lauren which is my name although I then asked where she was calling from and she said Collexa, I then repeated the name collexa and asked what it actually was she had a nervous voice when she responded with oh just a company!!!
She then quickly asked when did I move from New Zealand to Australia. Very strange call I said I was born here and then I asked again where she was from and she said sorry and quickly hung up.

Collexa are just another collection agency claiming to have the support of a Law firm which is absolute BS. I refuse to pay a debt for a credit card that was used by a third party in the USA to buy a car from a car yard which they scammed out of me. The ANZ bank knew this and recovered their money through insurance and the debt was put like all debts onto the stock market and these degenerate debt collecting agencies buy that debt for as low as 1 cents in the dollar then threaten, lie, bluff and harass in an attempt to get the full amount + interest out of you. Collexa, Lion fianance, Mercahntile collections and CLH etc are all interconnected under different names.

I've been getting 2 sms a day for 3 months from this company. I call them they tell me they cant discuss what its about thats is a private matter of my partners and refuse to delete my number. The sms says Collexa the woman says they are Collects.
