Got an sms message to call this number. Turned out i was defaulted on my credit file. I've managed to pay this old debt off and get my default updated just in time to try get a loan. Glad this is sorted out and only took a few minutes.

They have been calling me for at least 3 years for an Origin debt they claim I owe about 6 years ago. Initially I thought it was a mistake and wanted to clear it up and told them I am still an Origin customer and don't owe any money. But the calls have continued since, probably 3-5 times per week for 3 years. I never answer of course.

Got a msg pretending to be a pharmaceutical company called collexa.... Googled number and all y he complaints come up saying debt collection agency. ..
I don't answer private or numbers I don't know lol

I get messages from these guys all the time, nl mercantile are a bunch of low paid debt collectors

This company calls using an automated message, leave voicemails, never give their name- only a phone number and reference number and harass with these calls everyday until you call them back. When you call them back they demand to know personal details before they will discuss the call. When you give no details and it ends within the phone being hung up on them, they continue their harassing phone calls.
This is all for a "debt" with Origin. Origin who refused to follow the legal dispute process for bill that was double the usually cost. This is now nearly 5 years later and they have this company threatening to continue to harass me daily with their automated phone call until I hand over personal details (a threat I have recorded)

I did a search on this number because of the nuisance calls each day. Thanks for your comments as I do not owe anyone anything and if they were for real they would not call on private number and leave a message that makes no sense.

This number is a debt collection agency that will call you non stop on private and leave messages with no name of there company wanting you to call them and give them all your details before you find out who they are.. they are very rude people DO NOT CALL BACK

I called (02) 8188 9788 i got a guy called Wanyne. He was a rude person, telling me that they have connections to contact numbers and will suie me for something that i havent ever hear about nor know about!

If you get a private call telling you to call DO NOT CALL THEM BACK! I REPEAT DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!

I called back number (02) 8188 9788 spoke to a woman who said company name is NL Mercantile.

Debt collection office. If they don't touch base with you on your phone then they will call your workplace. I changed jobs and they called through on both work phones very quickly. Not the best impression to kick start a job when taken by surprise.

Rang and asked for my DOB and said they were from NL Mercantile about a personal business matter. I refused to say, asking why they were calling. They said if I confirmed some details they could tell me. They then asked for my address and I refused and hung up. They tried to call again so I blocked them.

I called back this number who said they were First State Freedom and that it would be beneficial for me to allow them to put me through to their accounts manager.
