Called me twice in two days and left a voicemail with no information. This leads me to believe that it is a nuisance caller.

Missed a call (unsolicited of course) from this number, rang back and it's a group called Avon Direct Marketing Services representing insurers.

They say they are CommInsure. I think they're a scam wanting to get verbal approval to take money out of your bank account. I called up the authentic CommInsure about this. They suggested you tell these people that "You'd prefer to go to the bank for face-to-face service and ask them to place you on the Do Not Call list!" They also have another number similar but different (02) 8094 4420

I got a letter from CommInsure.
I have had 2 calls now and they both hang up straight away.

This Better not be CommInsure, Commbank isnt exactly in my good books atm.

missed a call from (02) 8094 4216 twice today. The last one being at 6.30pm. Phoned back and message said it was avon direct marketing services. Why the hell are they bothering us and are they legit? Going to tell them that I prefer to deal direct through my bank.

i get the same thing but my calls keep calling til 8pm the number i hear from is (02) 8094 6072

Ok...for anyone that gets phone calls from anyone, from any company the law states.....

that calls must be between the hours of 9am - 8pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 5pm Saturday. They can not call you on any other day or outside the time frames so not on Sundays or PUBLIC HOLIDAYS or AFTER 8pm Mon-Fri or AFTER 5pm on Saturdays.

A telemarkter must hang up if a consumer (which is you on the other end of the phone) requests them to ....AND the telemarkter must then NOT call for at least 30 DAYS of being told not to ring.

You can also ring the Do Not Call Register on 1300 792 958
IF any company rings you when you are on the DNCR or after hours or on Sundays or on Public holdiays they are in breach of the telecommunications Act.

You can make a complaint to the Telecommunications Ombudsman for your state.

You don not have to put up with phone calls you do not want....

I hope this can help someone out there..
