Yep, just called me too. i've got a couple from these guys in the last few days. I just save the number under
"DO NOT ANSWER 1"
"DO NOT ANSWER 2"
"DO NOT ANSWER 3" etc

Same thing happened me just then, no answer...

They phone my mobile once every 2 weeks or so, I've never answered.
Probably some scam. mr ed. - How do you know it to be Avon?
Avon go door to door don't they?

I also just got a phone call to my mobile from this number.  I always answer with my name to numbers I don't know; after I did that, they hung up without saying anything.

This can be an alias number for PAID CALL. You call them, you'll be charged like you call an adult-phone-line. But only for 1 second and they hang-up. It's a machine. A Robbery machine. So nobody would realise it. 1000 call back, means $2,000.00 if their flag fall is $2 for the first 30 sec. That is what coming into my mind.

Got another call again today.  Same happened as what happened last time.
