Received a text message from a spoofed number that said “Commbank-“. The text message told me there was an attempted transaction on my account and to call this number. This is a scam to obtain personal information and access to your bank account.

Two step scam: Smishing (‘commonwealth-bank alert’ fake) from scammer + Phishing (landline offered phone) from scammer

1. SMS (from scammer) mob = 0481 241 168. (This is NOT commonwealth bank!! Don’t even consider phoning them; that gives them missing info they need without you even speaking ; they legitimised your mobile number by you simply calling them)
2. Phishing (from scammer) landline = (02) 8091 3620 (Warning:- Again, you call them and, they ‘have you’ , let alone what you disclose verbally)

SMS/Txt message is a ‘lot of bollony’ …. ‘600.10 AUD to BC AUTO LTD. …. It’s all ‘bull dust’ !!! It’s words to trap you, whether you deal in bitcoin or not!!

On iOS device, for the scam SMS, I click ‘report message’ (if you have ‘spam’ turned on in settings) and then I ‘blocked number’ .
Also reported to ACMA scam Txt’ report on 27/3/2023.

I received the same text. This is a scam.

Scam says message from Comm bank and to call this number. It's not their number though.

I rang number and commonwealth bank recorded message answers and then wait music then Indian scan call centre.
