Caller: Telstra OK, everybody here needs to RELAX a little bit. This is actually Telstra calling you regarding an outstanding bill. They are calling the nominated contact person on the account. In my case, I no longer worked for the company Telstra were calling about, but Telstra still had my contact details in that account. THE CALL IS AUTOMATED AND WILL CONTINUE TO CALL YOU RELENTLESSLY UNTIL YOU ACCEPT THE CALL, PRESS 1 TO CONTINUE AND THEN PRESS 5 TO ADVISE TELSTRA THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER THE CONTACT PERSON FOR THE ACCOUNT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE THEM ANY PERSON INFORMATION. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN MAKE THEM STOP CALLING YOU.

Caller: Telstra You know, I think this might actually be a legitimate number that Telstra are using to contact people who are listed on a Telstra account. I'm not a Telstra customer, but he recorded message said that it was calling regarding an account name that I was listed on as an authorised person on that account. The ladies voice that is heard when you call this number back is Jane Holmes, she is a radio announcer on 3AW and has a very recognisable voice. Telstra use Jane Holmes for a lot of their recorded prompt announcements. So it's possible that Telstra is contacting you about an account which not be yours, but you might be listed on as an authority to act on the account.

This is not a telstra number at all, I went into a telstra shop and they said the only numbers telstra will ring you from are the 3 he stated, and not one of them was this number. So it is not from telstra at all, it is a bullsh*t scam. So do not tell people to take the call. I owe no money to telstra, as I said, I went in to a telstra shop and I was told I have no overdue accounts, no cancellations or anything else that apparently I owe $1600 for. So if you say we need to answer this call, then you are a part of this scam, that is the only logical conclusion any sane and rational person can come to.

Caller: Not Telstra Thought I'd leave my 2c here, having just received a couple calls from this number within the interval of just over an hour. Firstly, I have not picked up in either occasion, I have my mobile set to ignore numbers I do not have as contact. It just doesn't ring, just send them to voicemail directly, where legitimate contacts who really want to reach me will leave a message and their number for me to call them back. Second time they called, I accidentally had the phone unlocked on my desk and actually saw a warning from Telstra themselves on the screen next to this number, mentioning this as a suspicious calling pattern. I had never got such warning, so google it and found an exact screenshot of what I had had just gotten, on Telstra's website, describing this new anti-scam system they've got in place: https://www.telstra.com.au/exchange/suspicious-phone-calls--what-telstra-is-doing-to-raise-the-alarm#:~:text=The%20new%2C%20in%2Dhouse%20solution,directly%20from%20their%20device%20screen%3A Would this anti-scam have flagged Telstra themselves as suspicious? I doubt it. Blocked it is.

This number called multiple times and left automated message regarding a business account that I had and had close this down few years ago. So I called Telstra helpline to confirm if I have any outstanding bills to pay and to confirm if they did call me. He asked if I have received anything on my email - which I'm not, they don't have that number, they can't find have any outstanding bills against my name and they don't have that number nor the 1800 numbers on their system.... they've flagged this as scam.

(02) 8070 2249 same telstra scam. they already have your date of birth and full name, they probably hacked telstra old records since I gave telstra the flick about 9 years ago. they swear it's not a scam call and said I have an outstanding bill of zero and would be referred to the credit reference authority for non payment. At this point I hung up. they had called six times in two days before I finally answered

Caller: Who knows Telstra said not them It's quite well done but it's odd The message is delivered by a female announcer, Australian voice, professional announcer (anyone can lift that recording) It is asking if I am owner of luna enterprises? If not call Telstra 1800 150 940. So I do. Telstra's response is 1800 150 940 is a scam number I said well if so you, at Telstra, have answered it, if you are Telstra. She said if you go on line you will see it's a fake number. I said but I'm talking to you on the fake number! She said I'll check now who you are talking to, she then said your talking to 1800 150 940b I replied yes, I'm talking to you, at this number, that you said was fake! I said ok it's a scm, so can I report it to you, seeing your Telstra. She mumbled something that was akin to brushing me off. It is a scam. Luna Enterprises or Imports from what I can see are still functioning and have phone numbers available to call them on. So if anyone is telling U they're legit, they're misinformed.

have received multiple calls from this number. Automated voice states they are from Telstra. Perused the post on this page and have seen there were multiple suggestions of this being attempt at recovering overdue amounts, however I am up to date with my payments. Do not trust this number.
