This morning was the second time this number has tried to call me. The first was yesterday morning. People have got better things to do than be annoyed with telemarketing or scam numbers. The first time I had a missed call from this number- I placed it in the auto reject list in my phone.

Got a call from this. Asked for my year of birth. Said not giving it to them as if your Optus then you would know this. They needed to confirm who they were speaking too. Asked for purpose of call was for NBN specials and if I wanted to recontract which I had just done so hung up.

Three calls a day for five days straight. Indians meeting call quotas I guess, they always hang up upon answering. Have just opted out of all optus marketing (Google "Optus opt out" for the form). We'll see if that solves the problem. Somehow I doubt it.

I've been receiving calls from this number twice a day, every 3 or so days, for about 2 weeks now. Calls mostly happen in the morning, or late afternoon/evening.

You would think they would give up.........

Have once before advised them to block telemarketers. It was great for about a year and then it starts all over again....

Optus calling every day for over a week now.....give up...

called me at work twice a day these two days. I answered but they hung up.Extremely annoying. Optus you will lose many customers including me.

They've called 5 times so far, blocking it now.

Says it's Optus (I'm with Optus) but asking for an old owner of the phone. I have since been given this phone and it does not belong to the person the company is asking for. When I responded saying that the owner at current time was not in fact owner one, they hung up immediately. Nice try bro.

omg when will they stop?! Almost EVERY morning at 7:20, I nearly pick up the phone and curse then if I actually believe that would stop them!

Keeps calling even early hours. Annoying !

Optus called and asked if I wanted to upgrade my phone for xmas. Leaving Optus soon. How about employing Australians Optus? Congrats.

They said they were from Optus, but the guy knew my name - Silly me confirmed it. he then wanted to know my date of birth for "Security purposes". Might be genuine, but sounded sus. I hung up.

Yep got a call from (02) 8049 0831 (blocked it)

I am really annoyed. My friend (anonymous) had heaps of calls per day from this person, and we are fed up about it, we only found out today that it was Optus, why would Optus call a 13-year-old during tests and class, wouldn't you get the message if they weren't answering that we weren't interested, and then when we called them back, they didn't answer, we then blocked the number, but that might not be enough. It is totally messed up, STOP CALLING OPTUS!
