This number called me a few times. Today I answered the call, this guy told me that he is from Optus and asked me to confirm my birthday etc..I did not answer and asked his number so I can call him back, he told me: It's James on (08) 7076 8017.

Lol they keep trying to ring me but I’ve blocked their number and added them as “fake Optus scam” although they are blocked I keep getting the “missed call” text from them. What a fail. Whatever they’re trying, I’m not buying! Total pathetic number with pathetic people who will keep harassing you until the sun goes down!!! They have been calling me non stop for three weeks. They really need to get a life.

Been getting calls on our land line and when we answer they hang up without anything being said, now its starting on my mobile. Last time i got calls like that on my mobile, i sent a text to that number and in Capital letters Told them to F.... OFF and i got no more calls, turns out it was to do with NBN at the time. Doesn't matter though, If they don't answer they deserve what they get.

I've had several calls from them but call disconnects every time I answer. Called the number back. An automatic message says they're Optus but advises to call the relevant departments then disconnects.

I have no unpaid bills as I'm a prepaid customer and no issues lodged.

Kept calling me everyday multiple times a day until I decided just to block the number. Tried to answer once and they just hung up on me. Tried calling back and didn't go anywhere.

Same story as above - call two-three times a day. I am with Optus: my hubby is with Vodafone. He has also received regular calls from this number on a daily basis for approximately the past week.

I am with Optus but I don't want to change from prepaid so I won't answer anyway. I need to sleep a lot due to illness so my phone setting silences unknown (non-priority) callers.

Answered a call from this number, said it was Optus, but going from other comments it is not. The lady said she wanted to talk about better prices for me, but it didn't sound legit.

They did call before, but when answered it was like they had hung up on me!

Called me numerous times through out the days. I tried to call back at some point since I was always busy and all it said was "Optus". So i searched this number online and found this page. Blocked the number.

Don't answer its just another scam. If try calling that number you get nothing.

Total of 8 calls over 3 days. Ringing from 7am till 8pm at night. So annoying

I've been getting 2-3 calls a day from this number. I finally just answered it to see what it was about. They claimed to be from Optus and as others have noted here, they asked for my date of birth. I told them that since they called me, I'm not going to provide my date of birth to them, and they told me to have a nice day and hung up.

Don't give your details to people who call you. If you call Optus, sure, provide your details. But if anyone ever calls you asking for you to confirm your details, you're under no obligation to do so.
