Caller: Scammers

Just because they say they are from Godaddy doesn't mean they are the real Godaddy. They are calling me on a number that isn't listed on my Godaddy contact but is listed on a website I have hosted through Godaddy. I called the real Godaddy after returning the call to the fake Godaddy. In dealing with Godaddy for more than 14 years, I think I would have received unsolicited calls from them before now if (02) 8042 8921 wasn't a scam caller.

I dont answer calls I dont know and this forum was helpful in me determining whether I need to call back. What concerns me is that yes I do have an account set up with GoDaddy which I only set up a couple of weeks ago, so how did they get my number, cant be a coincidence. Who has been breached? My site or GoDaddy's database?

That's not right. I have had valid calls from GoDaddy.

Anonymous twat posts a useless message and then tells others to get a life.

Definitely a scam. This above idiot has left the exact same indignant message on two separate websites. Why he would get so upset, nobody knows. Very fishy.

Except GoDaddy's Sydney number is (02) 8042 8920 and not (02) 8042 8921

I’ve received a few of these from “godaddy”
Asking how I am then proceeding to tell me for some reason they can’t see my number or details so he can’t retrieve my info then asks me who he’s speaking to but yet he called me so if he has my number he would have access to my details.

be careful what you say as they most likely record calls and if they gather enough verbal information they could quite easily access your account.
Sounds odd but I’ve seen it happen before to friends. They record your voice and then call up pretending to be you using pre recorded voices that you’ve spoken

GoDaddy only communicates through email only!

4 calls in two days -- didn't leave a message for any of the calls. Now I find it is GoDaddy (I am a customer). Not impressed they never leave a message: can't always answer in work hours.

No email, no message just call anytime repeatedly and without solicitation.
Very fking annoying.

They are very persistent. Rang 6 times and never once left a message.

Called back, informed them I was not a customer. They said I would not be called again
