Caller: GoDaddy Definitely GoDaddy. Companies often have consecutive phone numbers like this for different departments. I received two calls within a few hours. After reading here I answered I the second time. They asked I needed any help setting up the website and weren't pushy. 30 seconds later I got an email from GoDaddy with a questionnaire on my dealing with GoDaddy. The email was sent from donotreply @ godaddy.com so it was their domain.

Caller: Go Daddy Imposter I was just called today by this number (02) 8042 8921 and spoke to an American guy asking if Go Daddy could help drive more traffic to my sites. He didn't get very far as my domain names with Go Daddy are just registered and not live at this stage. Watch out though. This scam still seems very active.

Anyone can see when a Domain expires and anyone can see who hosts it. Therefore ANYONE can call you to tell you its about to expire and take your money.

Caller: GoDaddy This was a legitimate call from GoDaddy informing me that one of my domains was about to expire and asking me if I was aware. I said I was aware and didn't need it anymore. They pretty much said no worries, have a good day.
Not a scam call, although always good to be cautious.

Caller: Steven Received call, they said GoDaddy. NOT GODADDY. I called thrice just to understand the story. Very efficient scamming. Do not give your site PIN, or your entire site may disappear, site pulled down, domain may be resold, linked credit card used. Online search shows number on structuredchange.com.au/contact/ a telemarketing company. They are from Indian (my native country), but trained to have excellent American accent.

Caller: GoDaddy Said they were calling to see if everything was ok with the website. I said yes. Said something about security and I said nope, everything is fine. He said, ok, just call us if you need any thing. Wasn't pushy.

they call either showing desparately way of informing themselves about you impersonating companies that are neccessarily had Australian benefits given to you so they will try to investigate more about what you have earned out of discountability or benefits of the country and try to offer you a better deal in the same time do not give them any of your identity over the phone specially if they have gathered you information from an email if its got your surname on a seccond email they will also try to identify you more as they are getting closer at retrieving your data
