Caller: it was private number

this number , indian accent , said he was from nbn , said he was in sydney , and said our computer had viruses, even though we have virus protection, and wanted me to type my ip into google press enter, (i didnt do it) i knew straight away scam. he said his job id was D142536 and to ring (02) 8005 0081 when i told him i wanted to check, no doubt it would have went to another scammer.

Indian accent woman claiming to be from the NBN saying I had a compromised internet.
I asked to ring them back and obtained this number, they wanted me to log into my computer and follow their instructions. I hung up

Surprisingly this number does connect back to the scammers who will answer the phone as NBN Australia and will then quickly find "Jennifer Williams" (just make sure you call with your telephone ID suppressed and give them a false name when they ask you for your name). I have registered a report with scamwatch.gov.au and hopefully the Australian telco who is leases this telephone number will be pressured to cancel the service and requre future higher identification requirements for telephone number leasing.

Caller: 'Eva Wilson' ID D239867

same story as above - Indian accent, provided far more Anglo-sounding name and (02) 8005 0081 as the call back number. Call originated from (02) 9626 2147

Rosie Jones gave her usual spiel and gave me this number which my daughter called while I was still on the phone. Number didn’t connect.
I hung up.

Indian accent. Claimed to be from telstra/nbn. Obviously in a very busy, noisy call centre. Claimed there was a security problem on our nbn. Wanted to work with me to find a solution. I asked where she was from. She offered the address 100 Mount Street, North Sydney, NSW, 2060 and her personal ID 415793. She did not like taking No for an answer. She suggested I phone (02) 8005 0081 and ask for her there. That, of course, proves absolutely nothing. So, I hung up, and she is still there waiting for me to return her call. Beware Suspected Scam call..

Hang up after I started reading reviews. Had gotten me to look at my public IP address and stating my computer was compromised due to having a public IP address(even though having a public IP address is perfectly normal if you are using the internet). Asked me to launch Terminal on my Mac. Appears to be motivated in obtaining remote access to people's computers.

Caller: Kevin

This man called 7 times and was very abusive, said he was genuine. He said there was international usage on my internet and even gave this number and said I needed to hit 3. Total SCAM !

Indian women called telling me that I have a problem with my ip address,she said she could help me fix it claiming she was from 100 mount st North Sydney & all I had to do was turn on my computer and call this number (02) 8005 0081 and the technician would help fix it. I new it was a SCAM so didn't bother calling and put the number into google and got this site,surprise,surprise!!.

Caller: 02 800 500 81 Jennifer from NBN secure service and she said that my NBN was transmitting errors.

I called this number back. Wasnt long till I revealed that I was onto their scam. David then started to swear at me and use all kinds of vulgar language as well as telling me he was very proud to be stealing money from inocent people.
I proceeded to call back over and over again ( my number was on private). It got to the point where they were taking turns at answering the phone and yelling at me to stop calling. I continued to call over and over through out the night. I can no longer get through. It hangs up as soon as it connects and starts to ring. I don't think they like me anymore. I highly recommend that anyone who can change their number to private to do the same. Its very satisfying to hear them squirm and beg you to stop calling. After all they are criminals and deserve no leniancy. Make their life hell just as they do to other people.

Indian accent told me she was from nbn security. she said if I type in google ip address will come up and it should be private. told me if i doubted she could give me her name Jennifer Williams ID 516387 phone (02) 8005 0081 and address 100 Mount street Nth Sydney NSW 2060. no one answered when i tried number.

So, I hung up, but she is still out there scamming people. Be ware.

Caller screened as "anonymous" and obviously robo-dialled, as there was a delay before caller started speaking with spiel about "compromised" IP address, etc. I sought a call back number for verification and (02) 8005 0081 was the number given.

tried to get me to open my computer and he would show me what is wrong.told him i was not interested and there was no way i was going to open my computer. checked the phone no.he gave and came up with all these scams .

Call actually came from a mobile pone number 0449 070 832. Very strong accent, gave me NBN Sydney Mount St address and this number to verify authenticity. Alarmingly, I almost gave him details because I was waiting for an NBN technician to come and visit for an outage! I am very glad I googled this number.

Claiming to be from nbn. Told me my ip address is beign stolen and they need to fix it. Otherwise they will terminate my internet. Indian accent female, names "Sophia Wilson" work ID D328465. I said Wilson is not an Indian surname and she's a scammer. She got angry and started yelling... Told me to call back on (02) 8005 0081

Caller: Kevin Watson gave a Case ID of D200125

Same NBN scam with an India male accent same banter about open IP address. New name is now Kevin Watson gave a Case ID of D200125. Offered for me to ring back on (02) 8005 0081. Don't engage.
