Claimed to be from "Visa and Mastercard security department", which makes no sense given those are two separate entities!

Answered and they hung up straight away

Called knew my name so I suspect my number and name was taken from some leaked database.
Asked me to do a survey which would be to gather additional personal information for other means such as account password resets or security questions

Claimed to be a missed call from Vodafone's "Call Catcher" service but the number calling wasn't Vodafone and there's no actual missed incoming call in my phone LOL!
Anyway this is not a local number and no legitimate person has ever called me from any other state.

This was a SMS at 2:12am (LOL!) on 30th April but claiming I missed a call 4 days before on 26th April LOL!

Caller: My phone's AI Spam catcher defined this number as "suspected fraud" before I even decided to answer it not. Of course didn't - instead, I came here to see all these reports. Glad I did. Number now added to my blocked list along with the other few hundred!

This number calls and cannot be called back. I suspect it’s a sales or survey cold caller…

Don't know the scam but they knew my name. Asking for survey info on rising inflation and interest rates. Sounded Filipino. Asked where they got my number and advised a database shared by Dunn and Bradstreet. Told them I am busy and goodbye, blocked the number.

he asked to speak to me and when i asked who's calling, he hung up, when i rang back it went to an American automated message saying sorry the phone number was not found

Also calls from 0970 and 0971. No one on other end of phone…background noise sounds like a call centre. Multiple calls from all three numbers within past 7 days.

Polite woman caller wants to conduct a survey for the Australian Bureau of Statistics. I declined her kind offer and blocked her number.

they called at about 12.15pm on 11 may 2023 but as i was driving i couldnt answer the call. Seems lucky i didnt. The caller might have bought my number from the Medibank data scam a few months ago.

comes up as suspect spam caller on my phone - let it ring out and no message left.
