Caller: Claimed to be charity

Claimed to be cancer charity. Courteous response that I was not interested in phone donation. Blocked number.

This scam calling number seems to have become very activate in March 2023. The number is similar to others that have recently harassed me. I didn't bother to answer after checking the highly informative entries of fellow contributors to reverseaustralia.com. Thanks!

Unknown Number so let go to answering machine. Hung up after 4 rings and no message was left.

Not at all surprised to see this number already reported here. A very similar number ending in 44 instead of 40 has also called. One of five unrecognised calls today, two from NSW (02 prefix), two Victoria (03) and one Queensland (07). I am on the ''do not call list'' and still get these annoying interruptions.

Caller: MyCharity Ltd

For some months, have been getting calls on my landline from these numbers: (02) 7908 7813; -7814, -7740, -7745. If I do answer, I can never quite catch the details, but "breast cancer" and, I think, "prostate cancer" have been mentioned. I believe the caller is "MyCharity Ltd", (one word, space, Ltd) .Formerly "My Charity Ltd" or "Limited" of Warwick Farm, NSW. They probably have other numbers. They are not a Charity as such, but a survey company. I tracked down their address eventually - am I allowed to mention it here? On their website, there is a form so you can be deleted from their list, but in another "reverse" site, some commenters did not hold out much hope of success. I intend to write a letter, and send by Snail Mail!!

Caller: Once, woman with Asian accent, asked for me by name.

I hung up first call, get called daily let it ring out, no message left in message bank. Pain in the Kyber Pass.

Caller: Charity scam

I’ve been called by (02) 7908 77XX for 2 weeks straight now, some times they’ve answered sometimes not. They have always been charities, once breast cancer, today it was prostate cancer. Very rude operators. The phone connection is poor and although they sound as if they’re Australian, when I asked to confirm the persons name she very rudely said ‘hmmmp Louise’ and where she was from, there was silence, and then ‘prostate cancer charity’. I asked to have my number removed and hung up.

Another Scammer, another number blocked

After getting calls that hang up after answer from (02) 7908 7740, (02) 7908 7743 & (02) 7908 7811 for weeks on end, rang number back and took option to "opt out of call list" twice, then received another call from "breast cancer charity" and verbally requested to be taken out of call list, received a sarcastic reply of "Thank you SO MUCH" from woman who sounded Australian.
