Caller: English Accent Lady
Wanted to know if we accept American Express Credit Cards.
Her Mum wants/needs my products (recommended by a friend) but only has AE Card.
I advised all orders through our website run through PayPal so this would be determined by PayPal themselves. I then had to Google this info for her and tell her "Yes PayPal accepts AE".
She then proceeded to tell me her mum would call me back to place the order, and i explained that i don't take orders over the phone and to please go through the website.
Same as all the rest. Had company details, asked about credit cards. Odd. Same as everyone else, just wanted to know if we accept Amex credit card.
Block the number.
Caller: Did not say
Asked if my business was located at [business address]. Once confirmed he then asked if I accept credit card payments.
I said no and then he said thanks and ended the call immediately. Seemed strange/scammy.
Fraud. Asking if we accept Amex so that his grandfather can purchase. Caller: (02) 7226 1405
Asked if we were ** business and were we at ** street. Did we take Amex. His wife mum needs our service. I said didn't know. He asked if anyone would know. I said that's me. I told him what we do take and soon as I said invoice he hang up. Must be a scam with Amex cards??

She wanted to know if we were 'such and such firm in Elizabeth St' I asked what it was regarding and she asked if the 'doctor accepted credit card payments' I said we were not a doctors surgery and she said thank you. After I said yes, he thanked me and said that’s all he wanted to know and hung up. wanted to know what type of payment we took, did not know who we were or where we are located. very vague wanted to refer pmt method to father Asked if we accepted amex card and he would let his cousin know.
