Robocall saying there is a lawsuit in my name. South asian lady answered the phone when i called back.

Caller: Overseas scammers threatening arrest warrant from tax department

I rang Telstra on 132200 and reported it and they blocked overseas calls on my home line. Also, they are sending me an email with instructions about how to ward off these calls on my mobile. Although it has 02 as the prefix, they are scammers from overseas. If you call them back, you will probably be charged an overseas rate. So do not call back.

I got a call from this number regarding that I have a warrant and a court Order to be arrested. So this is about ATO.

call the number back - it rings out then transfers on to another ringing tone (forwarded on to another anonymous number) then the voicemail said it was voicemail for 012345.

I had the same, they said to me my tax file number is linked to 1 dollars of money laundering they gave e a hong kong bank account to tranfer my savings so that i can help them find who has hacked my TFN i played the game until that point

Just got a call from this number and I wonder shall I call back to tell them to f*** off then ?

Said something like there was ‘a federal criminal case under your name’

ATO Scam call. I called back & was told the ATO had an arrest warrant out for me...I advised if they wanted to talk to me..it would be easy for them to find me as I also worked for the ATO & they could contact me internally. He hung up on me.

Saying they are the tax office and all my assets will be frozen. I must choose '1' to go on. What a scam.

Got a message saying call me back on my department number (02) 7202 7217 otherwise a warrant will be issued for my arrest ???????
Tried calling number it said voicemail box to this number is full
Will ring directory assistance tomorrow and find out who this number belongs to if I can’t be helped I will take the number and submit it to my local police station 🚉 see what they say

Had a missed call from this Number. I called them back and called out on them that they are impersonating ATO and lying, then he swore in Hindi language (I know Hindi) and hung up.

Scam call allegedly from the ATO. This is a known scam. The scammers will ask you to send them vouchers to repay the debt.

DO NOT provide your details to them or attempt to pay. They will threaten you with police arrest if you hang up, but this is a lie to try and pressure you into paying immediately.

If you are concerned about owing the ATO any money hang up and call them separately, but they will never ask for debt to be paid in vouchers and they also have payment plans available for tax debt.
