said to quote ref no 080456. I'm not even old enough for a pension! dumb people

Yeah bullsh*t. My tax file number is supposedly being shut down due to fraudulent activity. I 100% percent agree with the fraudulent activity part, but I think we disagree on the reason.

Recorded message "from the ATO" saying there was fraudulent activity on my account. SPAM.

Pretended to be from ATO. Threatening for arrest/jail as I have done some Tax violations. Listened everything and just hung up.

Called today, only 1 minute after another call from 0488 823 918 (also a dodgy number) didn't leave a message.

Same as the rest. Received a call from this number today. It came up as ACT on my phone. After i said hello they hang up.

Saw it was a call from Canberra on my mobile, answered thinkng it may be Centrelink. Got a recorded computerised message with an American accent claiming they from the ATO and my TFN is being used frauduantly. The usual press 1 to speak with a consultant. I hung up.
Can't believe they are still trying this crap.

Scam called me. phone warning however they leave message to press 1 to talk to officer. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. BLOCK CALLER.

As other comments, recorded voice purporting to be from ATO one day, seemingly live voice the next. Hung up, number blocked and reported as spam.

Apparently my Tax File Number has been suspended due to fraudulent activity. What a joke. These clowns called me on my work number, I actually am employed by the tax office. Number blocked and reported.

Please report to police, this is from a Skype number type of platform, they chose a Canberra number to make it look legit. The police can surely trace it if they want to and put them behind bars, hopefully a high enough number of reports will get law enforcement to initiate an investigation, so others could not fall in the trap.
