Automated message saying to contact them before a police officer appears at my place of work or home

Cant a government agency or police even identify the owner of the phone number and do something about this scammer?

d*ckheads ring on a public holiday!

Automated message advising it was the commonwealth bank in conjunction with the director of public prosecutions and the ATO, advising me to return the call before a police officer attended my house.

Caller: An American robot

Told me that the owner of this number is registered under the ATO Tax fraud and must pay money to recover debt i told them what was my name they didn't even know it SCAMMERS!

Didn't answer, no message left, the number did come up as Canberra so I wondered if it was from government. I looked up number on here and saw that sure enough it has been reported as a scam. Bludgers have now added Canberra as the location calling to try and trick more people into thinking it must be legit.

Looks like this a**hole at it again same message ring back or I’ll be arrested. I told them to come and arrest me now. They then hung up on me

Just got the call. I knew straight away it must be a scam when I listened to the robotic message about ato and arrest etc. Haha I wanna call back and put the sh*ts up em!

Had just rang this number back after they left a message and they said her name was Steff but it sounded like a male I just laughed at them they hung up on me

Just got a call from this number saying the same thing as others have commented- first a automatic call saying that it is from the ATO and there is an arrest warrant and then when I called back and asked who they were they asked for my details which i refused to give and told them I doubt they were from the ATO. I called the ATO who said that this is a scam

Received it today. Telling me my barrister needs to be contacted or cops will be at my door.

Automated voice message today pretending to be Com bank and advising to call the ATO or would have 'police on doorstep'. Gave a phone number at the end to call back. SCAM!!
