Caller: Steve Jackson (fake ato)

Just received i call from a fake ato. Name steve jackson. Threaten me by saying i will go to court and need a lawyer if payments aren’t made. I called ato and they said me record is all clean. Be careful guys.

As above, I got the same message from this number, I tried to call back and it just hangs up, I was sceptical about it and this has confirmed my suspicions, thank you!

I even got a call from this number (02) 6172 0662. The ashol was saying that he will arrest me for taxation claim.

As above, number came up as Canberra. Kept me on phone for 16 mins. Put me onto another man, I asked how do I know this is legitimate?, he hung up on me.

Just wish they would answer the number they left.......it appears that a distant relative of theirs has left a considerable trust fund with US$12,433,127.18 and by replying to this message I can help them get it all

I got a call from this number and being threaten to get arrested for ATO fraud,which i have never done.They will ask you to pay the money immediately otherwise you will get arrested and have to see a court.please beaware of this number .

Just rang me and said I didn’t pay my registration fee when applying for TFN and ask the money now which he said $1200 and said they issued warrant to arrest me. I think that’s a spam

The recorded voice advised that I will be subject to legal action for non payment of tax and to phone this number, (02) 6172 0662, to set things in order. "This matter is time sensitive." Business like tone, but threatening content.

just got a voice mail from this number, was a bit worried until I found this post....

Caller: someone saying to be from Crime and taxation office

This is a scam! don't call back and don't answer!
I contact ATO to check and definitely is a scam. They say you owe money to ATO and have to pay today or you are going to Jail since there is an arrest warrant, and they ask you to buy cards ou to do a deposit in cash... they even give you a case number and Batch ID number for the "officer" that is calling you.

Someone pretending to be from the ATO phoned my parents i phoned back from my phone and he asked for full name D.O.B address etc when i asked what would the ATO want with my parents they are over 80yrs old he hang up .

Claiming to be tax fraud. Did not call back.
Automated voice message, did not seem legitimate.

Definitely a scam. Just spoke to the real ATO and have lodged a scam report to help get these losers caught.....

Someone saying they are Fromm the Taxation office I hung up as soon as I heard the recording. I usually don’t answer any numbers that are not in my phone book.

Don't pay its a scammm. I just had a call and searched the number because he was rude unprofessional and dodgy.
