Got a call on this number on my partners phone. When I said she wasn't free he asked her to call him back. I said sure: Who's calling? Answer: Agent Singh from the ATO. I just burst out laughing and hung up.

Same situation but on number (02) 6100 3006. He asked if could pay now to avoid any further action. Said yes please. I told him I was coming around to pay him cash....beep beep beep

Call on my landline and say I am calling from ato and you not paid your tax legally and you have to go court matter And police come in at home and arrest you some one help and find out this guys , he say I am Patrick waker speaking ,

I have received two of these call from a David Clarke....I told him that he should be discussed in himself for doing this to honest people and he just laughed at me....Damn bastards.

If you have a smart phone go into the phone number and click block this number. I have since stopped receiving these calls.

I have received three automated calls from this number today, all with heavy Indian accents, claiming they are from the Tax Office with a lawsuit against me for tax evasion. He gave me a number to call back and when I called He asked if I had a barrister to represent me in court. He then told me the matter would be handed over to the magistrate within the hour. I thanked him for this information and hung up. Received another two calls well after the hour was up.

Got this a few times but every time the person hang up on me until this morning I received a voice message from Patrick Walker calling of behalf of the ATO and that I'm being sued for tax evasion and to call back the (02) 6100 3033 #. when I did I got this Indian guy asking me who my lawyer is as I'm being sued for Tax Evasion.
Not happy and asked him how could I be sued without seing any legal notification. Apparently they tried twice which is B%^&$ as I'm not working hence I'm at home when the postman comes along. I got very upset and he got very hungry and said he will contact the police to serve me the legal document and an arrest warrant before hanging up on me.
I stopped working 4 years ago, didn't make any sense to me. I tried calling the ATO to clear this up and while waiting Google the phone number (02) 6100 3033 and came across this site. I can't tell you how relieve I am. I too am on the do not call list which doesn't stop all of them.
What can we do to stop them? do we need to report to the Police or the ATO?

that form Do Not Call form is useless. I have been registered the old way for many years, and then again online. These scammers are sold lists of your telephone numbers even if they are silent. Still the call centres ring during the day. The computers are set to try to find out when you answer that is the best time to call you again.

Tuesday 19th May 2015 @ 10:03 am - Electronic (American) Voice Phone Message to phone the Australian Tax Office for tax evasion and that a law suit has been filed and to phone them between 8:30 and 2:30 on 02 61 003 033, or a law suit would be filed against my name. Just checked my voicemail had missed call and same number just told me to call the ATO back.

We have had the same message. Please be aware that there are a few things you can do. Record dates and times, along with details of the message or conversations. If you get repeat calls, advise your phone provider - they may be able to trace or block the calls. There is also a form which may be completed on the Do Not Call Register website which allows complaints to be raised against repeat unwanted callers or scam callers.

I had the same phone call and it was a Chinese....
I said can you prove you are from the ATO and his response was I dont have to prove that
