A scam. Amateur

Same as above, had an incoming call from (02) 5306 2281, I let the call ring out to message bank, the recorded message was by Steven Lee from the ATO, scam

ATO scam IGNORE

Recorded message saying they are from the Australian Tax Office threatening action against you. Ignore it its just another scammer. They called my landline using an auto-dialer. My landline number is never given out, and is fact diverted to my mobile so that I can block scammer phone numbers like this one.

I received a call as above from (02) 5306 2282 saying something similar & to call back, I'm guessing it's a scam, also from Bowenfels area.. dodgy.. funny how it pulls on the authority strings though, but not buying it !!!!

Scammer. Claims owe money via tax fraud via an automated voice recording. Even called tax office to verify and said it's a scam.

Received 2 x calls from 2 different numbers
(02) 5306 2281 and 2283.

this call was recived from my message system because i didnt get there in time but i herd the message and ...no name was stated or a name of the person who is getting sewed so i knew it was a scam i took the number he told me on the message and serched it up for any complaints or link points and easy to see its a scam

I actually tried to call back but it was constantly engaged. We also have a silent landline and so it was curious

I also received this call (02) 5306 2281 (Bowenfels) clearly a SCAM

It is a scam. Don't provide any information.

Received an urgent message to call back. The start of the message was missing - I guessed because it was a recorded message that started playing while my voice mail message was playing. Oops. Glad I looked it up on here before returning the call.

Call from (02) 5306 2280 - left a message - he actually had me going for a while. Strong indian accent, called himself Mark Brown - quoted me a case number and said there has been a miscalculation of $4982 and that there would be a holding fee of $989 if I didn't want to delay having to fight it in court. He said I would get a call from my local police department and a warrant will be issued for my arrest for fraud and tax evasion. I asked too many questions and asked him to email me the details so he hung up on me. I presume he wanted me to pay the $989 straight away but I couldn't really understand him. I feel a bit sorry for him that he has to stoop that low.

My message was panicky, told me not to ignore it and to return the call.

I too had this message to call back, I asked why was I not referred to this issue by an official document from the ATO and he said that they don't do it for fraud. I continued to query it as I had gathered that it was a scam, he then abused me and I then did the same.......I quite enjoyed calling him a "Richard Cranium"
