claiming to be taxation office, claiming that we have been charged with taxation fraud ( does not state our names) wants us to call this number to avoid warrant being sent out. Strange accent.

Pretty persistent has calls me about every two months - I've kept the recordings as they are amusing - apparent tax evasion and he will refer us to the commonwealth court if we don't call back

Left a stern message on my mobile from Tax Dept threatening legal action - Scam - Have deleted & blocked

Got this too left messages saying his name is Brain Maxwell from Tax Office, please call back, lucky I check number before hand it a scam.. thanks everyone who comment this number.

Also received this message. Philippine accent. Name given as Brian Maxwell. Blatant scam.

Exactly the same as the other people.
I haven't called back and am glad I didn't.

They actually left a message on the answering machine told me not to disregard the message etc etc.

Got a message from male person pretending to be an American stating he is calling from ATO office and advising I have a tax evasion and tax fraud case. Did not bother to call back as ATO is not communicating via the phone messages. Ignore that type of calls.

Got the same call this morning from a Ryan Maxwell who left a voicemail message claiming to be from the ATO & that we were to call him straight away (02) 4407 0028 and not to ignore this message. Did not address us by name & did not state what it was about but that it was urgent - I knew it was a scam.

Brian is a busy boy trying the Gold Coast now same rubbish about being the ATO unfortunately I was out so he just left a message but I am sooo looking forward to him trying it again when I am in

Friend just got that call. Is a scam.

This is a illegal operation a man saying he is from the ATO following up on tax evasion and fraud. Has a strange accent and was clear he was a hoax after a few questions.
He had a stage accent.
I reported him to the ATO. However, do not give anyone your bank details etc. Always talk to your accountant or call the ATO direct.

Same thing. Says from the Australian Tax Office.

Left a message saying before we got charged with tax fraud and our case went to the commonwealth code to call them back. Indian sounding accent.

Called an told me they were the ATO and that I had been claiming rebates that was not intitled to and that there was a warrant coming out if I did not pay $1362 that day , I replied did not have it and would take time .

Same as Naomi , although they did know my name and said that I needed to pay immediately the sum of $1362 , I informed that I did not have that available and would need time he said call back in a couple of days with account details
