I was called by a random number claiming to be ING [(02) 9028 7077], stating that there have been a series of fraudulent transactions attempted against my account. I nodded along with what they were saying but didn't provide any information as I was becoming suspicious. I hung up the phone and called ING. While I was talking to their representatives (who said there were no such attempted transactions against my account), I got two call phone calls from this number. I believe they are spoofing with this (02) 4355 9073 number (which is listed on the ING website). ING stated that this number would not be used to make outward calls. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS.

This number called 12 times in the space off 7 minutes.
The say they are ING, hold music, hold messages all very similar to ING. I bank with ING so I called them from a legit number, they had no record of anyone trying to contact me.

Called the other number back, they asked for my client.number, date of birth and account number. Details ING don’t ask for. sounded like a local based call centre too. Very good scam set up

"Sammy" insisitng to be from ING Fraud - though not really convincing. Alleging that I had three overseas charges pending to my credit card.
The number was 'spoofed' from ING's website - it is listed as the overseas contact number (when not in AU) if you need to confirm or update your account details. Nothing to do with Fraud directly.
Caller quoted first 6 digits of credit card (same on all ING cards have) but claimed to need my customer number and DOB to validateany more information.. Yeah right - that ain't gonna happen!!!!
Wasted nearly 20 minutes of his time - and clearly had him frustrated that I was not cooperating with - or believing him.
Way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Someone calling from (02) 4355 9073 which I did not pick up. They called twice. Listed as ING Bank but I do not bank with them. On same day I received multiple calls from (03) 5445 0666 which, when I rang back, seemed to be from Bendigo Bank. However, that number is listed as the one you use to call them if you are overseas. Suspicious to say the least.
