This is wrong. You should only be charged for the 55 cent call if you get through to the moronic idiots who are rambling on. At least I've only called 5 times with a recording on the other end. Definitely a scam. This programme and Telstra are the only winners.

Hey it's not thirty percent it's a 100 percent as the show is already over when it's aired on our tv and on other states that don't share the same time as the show.

It's happened again last night (Wed 18 Nov 2015), with monotonous regularity!

The starting number of the matchsticks game was given as 6568, and the solution was given as 8560. A bit strange, because to do that, the middle crossbar of the 8 would need to be re-positioned to the upper r.h. side vertical of the first 6 (which would only require re-positioning ONE matchstick with just ONE move). The only problem is, the middle crossbar of the 8 was a matchstick WITH a match head, which the rules clearly state CANNOT be moved, and in any case, there needs to be a total of TWO movements to achieve the final number!

The configuration of the matches had been as follows:

The first 6 had a 'plain' match stick on the lower l.h.vertical, the 5 had none, the second 6 had one on the lower l.h. vertical, and the 8 had one either side on upper l.h. and r.h. verticals, plus one on the lower l.h. vertical; making a total of 5.

Sarah had phoned in at 9.17 p.m. Qld time with the answer of 65651, and Sean did likewise at 9.43 p.m., (which should have been the winning solution), but each was declared to be incorrect (but keep on trying)!...

It's hard not to suggest this 'game' is all a BIG SCAM, and there are lots of people out there being cheated on. There really needs to be something done!

Erin Brokovich, where are you?

Oh, dear Linzee, go back and check the rules. Move 2 MATCHES to get the highest number. That which you say is impossible is very possible. And don't take this so seriously. It's a game ... for fun

Sorry to sound like I'm repeating myself, but they've done it once again! It was Friday the thirteenth, and they just couldn't help themselves. Happy Black Friday, suckers!

The number tonight was 9683. There were seven 'plain' sticks in the format, and I understand these ONLY can be moved; NOT any with match heads. So once again, hundreds, if not thousands of viewers allowed themselves to be sucked in by the sweet young thing into wasting all of their 55 cents on un-answered phone calls, only to be told at the end of the show that the correct answer was 36031! In hearing that, I just sat there gob-smacked!!!

The plain sticks were located as follows. One was on top r.h. side vertical of the 9, with another on the bottom cross bar of same. Another was on the lower l.h. side vertical of the 6. Then there were three on the 8; one either side on the upper side verticals, and one on the l.h. side lower. And finally, there was one on the centre cross bar of the 3, making a total of seven.

To create their 'supposed' correct answer of 36031, the 9 of original number 9683 could only be converted to a 3 by removing the top l.h. side vertical, which was IMPOSSIBLE, because it was a match with match-head! Then, to create an 0 out of the 8 in the original number, it would involve removing it's centre cross bar, which again was IMPOSSIBLE, because it too was a match with match-head! (Remember the rules). With only two moves being allowed, it would have been their intention to re-position these two sticks to the end of the number, thus creating a number 1, but this was NOT POSSIBLE as per above!!!

HOW BLATANT IS THAT!

The correct answer should have been 96331 that 'Michael' phoned in at 9.54 p.m. Qld time, only to be told he was incorrect.

Seeing how all phone calls from participants are logged-in, identified, and controlled by their computer, the producers should be compelled to reverse ALL payments received due to fraudulent deceit!
