Caller: SMS SMS informing me of an expensive purchase on Amazon and call-back number (this one). I checked my Amazon, no such purchase.

I believe it is a scam as it says a TV was purchased on amazon using your credit card

Caller: Amazon received a text from "Amazon" saying to call this number, a large amount had been debited from my card to purchase TEAC 75" QLED TV. Am assuming this is a fake.
